We’re letting the good times roll around here this holiday season. Mom’s work has slowed down for the winter, and we have no dog classes right now, leaving more time to get out and do fun stuff. With winter being our favorite time of year, it’s working out perfectly. Last week, Mom made a point to take me along on a few fun walks, and my sisters went to a Christmas party and a dog park.
I’m not a fan of other dogs all over the place which is why my sisters do their things, and I do mine. It works well. Madison had never been to the Alimagnet dog park, so it was a fun adventure for her. We only go there in the winter when the pond is frozen because the water is disgusting.
Bailie was more than happy to be Madison’s tour guide and body guard. They were trotting around together all around the park. One time Bailie chased off another dog that was after Madison. Mom said it was funny to watch.
In the wooded area next to the frozen pond, there was lots of good stuff to be sniffed, according to Bailie.
They met a big black Poodle. He seemed to be really interested in my sisters. I have to admit, the three of them match nicely.
Both Bailie and Madison did a lot of running. Once they returned home, they crashed from all the fun, exercise, and fresh air!
The wooded area with its trails is always the favorite part of this dog park.
I think it was the first time Madison has gone out on real ice. She was busy exploring when a new friend came racing over and distracted her.
Bailie and Madison both had a blast and Mom enjoyed being outside, letting the two of them race around. This week we are going below zero, so there won’t be as many fun outdoor adventures, but I’m sure Mom will find some other activities for us to do. We all go back to school starting January 4th, so that will cut into our free time once again.
They all love the cold- me not so much.
My mom loves it too. This morning we walked, but only 20-30 mins because it is -8. It wakes us all up for sure!
Aw, how sweet that Bailie protected Madison! Reminds me of how protective Callie always was of Shadow. β€οΈ Looks like you girls will be having a great week+ of freedom!!
Bailie always keeps an eye on the little one. It is very sweet.
That sure looks like some serious romping fun!
They did a lot of full out running which is always fun and tiring too!
What a fun dog park! Looks like everyone had the very best time.
It isn’t real big, but it is fun to go there sometimes. Katie and I went there a lot when we first moved here as it has lighting so you can go at night, but we got over the dog park thing after a couple years, and now I’m not interested at all, so I send my sisters.
Stay warm friends. We are in for a record cold spell – like -20f.
We have -9 this morning. My sisters have been out playing in the yard anyway, and we did our walks, just not over a half hour. The cold is always welcomed here…I know, we are a bit odd.
What a fun outing for your sisters! It’s nice for you all to have a little break from school and work, and just get to do something simply for fun. We’re going to get that frigid weather this week too, so we got outside as much as we could over Christmas and had fun in the snow.
We love the cold crisp below zero air and all the different sounds. The only difference is we walk a bit shorter times but we still go out in the yard and race around.
Pretty place to walk for sure, does your Mom go there even when it is in the teens and lower? We’re super cold here!
Oh yes she does! We all took walks this morning and my sisters have been in the yard a lot with the -9 temps. No problem for us. We love it.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR PEEPS…
GOOD that you are having a GOOD TIME ROLLING… hehehe
Thanks, you boys! Glad you are doing alright and nice to hear from you. We worry when blogging friends suddenly vanish with no trace.

It’s staying cold, but my sisters are still out racing around like fools even though it is below zero.
That looks like so much fun! Happy Holidays!
My sisters rarely are lacking in the fun department, LOL!
I’m glad that you are enjoying your Christmas break. Mom sent our photos over to Blogville’s New Year’s Eve dance! I’ll be thinking of you until then…XXOO Bentley
We are getting lots of things done that need to be done and having some fun too. Thanks for sending the photos. Glad you boys are back home. I was ready to start baking a cake with a file.
What a great day of fun!
They had a blast running around and exploring.
Enjoy the winter weather but stay warm and cozy.
Freeze, snuggle, repeat…that is the recipe around here.
Pretty good advice for the winter.
