Where in all the snow is Madison’s pizza? We have gotten a lot of snow recently, but Madison forgot where she left her outdoor pizza toy. Being a scent hound, she set out to find it.
You may remember, the beginning of the year, beloved Squishy Fishy was laid to rest. That stinky guy had been out in the yard 365 days a year for several years. He had the true dead fish smell, and it was time to say goodbye. At that point, Madison decided to replace him with her pizza slice, which was now buried somewhere in all the snow.
After scanning the yard, her nose told her to head south west to find the missing slice! She was off, with no worries about the deep snow ahead.
Scent hounds instinctively know odor drops in the cold, which means you have to dive in head first to find the scent trail. No problem for our little sister!
As she got close, it was time to put some paw action into play, and start carefully excavating the area.
Every now and then the little snow monster had to come up for air. I wonder how long it will take her to defrost when she comes back inside?
Slow it down! Be careful! Madison’s little paw seems to have located the pizza, now to be called frozen pizza!
Yay! Our little expert scent hound was able to locate her frozen slice buried deep in the snow! She was so happy to have her toy back. It’s good to know she can find the things she needs, even in the deep stuff!
With the missing pizza found, it’s definitely time to start running to get it delivered to wherever she thinks it needs to go. Run, Madison, Run!
Those are amazing photos and we love that snow nose!
These days Madison is a snowball most of the time!
Wow, great job finding that, Madison!! We are still looking for Luke’s favorite orange squeaky ball. Even with the snow melting it hasn’t turned up yet, and I can’t get either dog to hunt it down!
I bet Madison would find it. She loves to find stuff in the snow, it’s like hunting for her
Amazing! She is so smart. Just love the pictures
She is pretty smart and she loves to work. I can see a lot of her in me, and a strong work ethic is definitely in her genes and mine. Her dad is my half brother.
Amazing! Madison is a super sleuth!
She has a wonderful hound nose and knows how to use it pretty well.
yay you found it back, I guessed it! and maybe you invented a brandnew snack this way, the i-scream pizza ;O)))
From pizza to frozen pizza to i scream pizza!
Talented little Madison. Can she find keys if you lose them? Lol
Actually, she could. Using her tracking skills, if provided the scent she could track them down. They train to find leather, cloth, plastic, and metal objects.
Madison, don’t get s job delivering pizzas, customers hate frozen pizza. I’m glad you got more snow to play in.
I don’t think the pizza would make it to the person who ordered it. Madison would eat it or lose it on the way.
Well there’s no fear with that one! Glad she found her missing slice!
She is like me in that respect. Madison dives into any situation if it is called for. Bailie thinks it over and usually decides not to.
Love the old snow face!
Wow! Go Madison Go! Frozen pizza! That made mom laugh and laugh! These pictures are awesome. Have a great day Emma. Your doodle friend Dash
The story just kind of unfolded. Mom followed her around not knowing what she was up to, and then the pizza appeared. Case solved. Glad you got a nice laugh.
great job Madison!
She’s a pretty smart sniffer.
That is a fanastic job especially for a little dog like you.
She just loves to use her nose to find things. A real hound!
Great job Madison!! We are so glad your pizza and hope it was delivered beforeit warmed up!
xoxo,
Jakey, Arty and Rosy
It was quite the hunt, but she didn’t seem to mind at all.
Way to go Madison!
She loves using her nose and if Mom doesn’t have a job for her, she will create her own.
Wooftastic work Madison!
3 bum swings! 3 more!?
Nose nudges,
CEO Olivia
Madison is definitely a scent hound!
Great job Madison you have a great nose even in the snow:)
She knows how to use it in the cold and in the heat. Pretty smart little one.
Yeah you found your pizza!
A girl’s worst nightmare…lost pizza!
Love the ‘flocked’ look.
She is good at getting that look!
Those are lovely photos of Madison in the snow. I’m glad she found the pizza, but it didnt look like she planned on quitting until she did!
She is very persistent!
OMDoodle – I can’t believe you found your pizza. You girls are sharp!
Every time we got a good snow, Madison would seek out her pizza slice.
