It’s a lazy Monday for most of our family after an action packed nose work weekend. Even if some of us were not competing, our schedules get all messed up with super early wake up times, late dinners, short walks, and being home alone a lot. We all know when the morning alarm goes off there will be a sports event or a road trip because that’s the only time Mom sets an alarm. I’m sleeping it all off in my favorite place, the wicker kennel with my Molly Mutt bed.
Sophie lounges around pretty much 24/7/365, but she will use any excuse to sleep even more. For her it is hard having more hours between breakfast and dinner when Mom is gone to trials.
Cat bro Bert loves to steal my window bed for his snoozin’ time. He too loves any excuse he can find for napping. Bert claims he is bored because his favorite dog pals have either been gone or are too tired to play with him.
Bailie and Madison did not even want to get out of bed this morning. Talk about super lazy Monday hounds! Mom lets them just sleep in bed until it is time for them to get up and go for their walk.
Wait, this just in! Bailie got a most unpleasant surprise at 4 this morning! Mom told her to wake up and smell the wabbit because she is going to a nose work seminar today! No sleeping for Bailie as she has a working spot at the seminar. You have to admit, she does look tired in the photo. Well, sis, if you want to take my place in NW3 trials, I guess you have to work hard! The rest of us will keep our eyes shut a bit longer for you!
I’ll be back well rested with something fun for everyone tomorrow! Happy lazy Monday!
PS: We got more snow and ice overnight…winter keeps on giving around here!

Poor Bailie – that is a pretty early wake-up time!! It’s not easy being a hard-working dog, but you already know that, Emma. We bet she’ll be snoozing in the car on the way to her class…hope it’s a long drive, Bailie! 🙂
Bailie is the only one of us who won’t sleep while driving, so she is back home sleeping deeply!
I don’t know how you all keep up with your Mom!
She wears us out, but we get to sleep while she is working during the day in our home office which is nice.

Humans don’t understand, but nose work is a very difficult job and it really wears out our brains. Combine that with being in a new place, and having your routine upset, it makes for a tired fur family.
I hope Bailie will be able to get some sleep after her class. I love seeing pictures of Sophie, she’s so pretty.
Bailie is home now and napping like a champ! Sophie is hard to find most of the time. More like a hermit cat.

Sophie is beautiful, but she spends most of her life in hiding. Not social at all.

We were all fine with Mom being gone so we could nap, and if Bailie had to go along, not our problem!
