Are you packing for BlogPaws 2018? What’s in your bag? My GBGV Life is going to BlogPaws this year after a two year break. I’ve decided to send my Mom and sisters, which means I need to help them pack so they represent my empire as I would like.
My GBGV Life is being compensated by Chewy.com to help spread the word about BlogPaws 2018. My GBGV Life receives no additional benefits for barking about Chewy.com or BlogPaws. The opinions in this review are the honest opinion of My GBGV Life.
This year, Chewy.com and BlogPaws have partnered to host the the 2018 conference in Kansas City, MO – next week! I know Mom and the girls are looking forward to meeting folks from Chewy.com in person! I’m sure some of you might be wondering why I’m not going, and my sisters are. As I’ve gotten older, I really don’t like being around other dogs much. Going to BlogPaws means being squeezed into smaller areas full of people with dogs, and I would not like that at all. I could go along and stay in the room, but that would be no fun, so I will send my super social team, and follow along from the comfort of my own home.
What’s in the bag you are packing for the conference? I started the packing by stuffing my sisters into the duffel bag to make sure they are packed and ready to go! This will be Madison’s first time staying in a fancy hotel. I’m sure she will love it! Once I had them set in their bag, it was time to get the rest of the important items for a blogger to bring to a pet blogging conference.
I’ve been working with Chewy.com for several years now, and we seem to order almost everything we need from Chewy.com. With the quick shipping, I can go online and order the last minute items my sisters might need, and have them in plenty of time before they leave on their trip. We order our food, treats, kennels, toothpaste, pretty much everything, and it always arrives in two or three days!
My sisters have been busy trying to decide which collars to bring to the conference. I think they have finally it narrowed down. Most likely, they will be wearing something springy, Bailie in purple tones, Madison pink.
Madison knows the importance of having the laptop packed. Being our tech hound, she is installing the updates, and is getting the computer ready for a couple days of heavy use!
Mom will be manning the camera as always, but Madison is making sure it is in good working order. BlogPaws without a good camera would mean disaster! You can keep up with my sisters at the conference by following us on social media. They will be posting a lot on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, right from their phones.
With the messy weather we have been having, I’ll be sending Bailie and Madison to the spa for an afternoon. If they want to represent My GBGV Life and the GBGV breed, their furs need to look decent! They are not thrilled about getting cleaned up, but they need it!
Last but not least, Mom and my sisters need business cards. They will all be meeting with lots of brands, and business cards are key! I ordered them some more of our newer cards to take along so they won’t run out.
I know Mom and my sisters will have a blast, and I’m happy to stay home, and get spoiled as an only dog for a couple days. My GBGV Life will be well represented, and best of all, my sisters will bring home that big bag of samples for us all to share! The swag is always amazing, and I can’t wait to dig my head into the bag when they get back! Are you going to BlogPaws this year?
Dang, we don’t have a bag since we don’t get to go this year but you’ve sure got the packing thing covered!
Luckily, my sisters both fit in the one bag. Makes it easier to transport them!
This makes me a little sad. I feel bad that You donβt enjoy these Events anymore but I am sure you sisters will represent you well.
No need to feel sad. We all change as we age, people and pets. I don’t even really enjoy hanging out with my sisters, and other dogs not at all. I love to hang around people, but I don’t want other dogs around the people I’m hanging out with. I get spoiled well being the only dog home when Mom takes my sisters. Mom is also super good about spending lots of 1 on 1 time with me. I’m good. π
I wish I was going, it would be fun to meet the people and animals behind the blogs I read. Plus the swag bag always makes me jealous.
Going was fun, but I wouldn’t like all the dogs. I get to be spoiled at home, and then help eat through the swag bag when everyone is back. The best of both worlds.
I wish we were going this year, it’s always fun to catch up with everyone. But, we will watch it through Bailey and Madisons eyes instead.
Mom is still bummed she couldn’t go last year because she has always wanted to go to Myrtle Beach, but she has to work while she is at BlogPaws and the 20+ hr drive would have been too much. This is only 8 hrs, so she can make it work. It will be fun for Mom and my socialite sisters.
We arenβt going but will follow all of our friends adventures on social media! Have fun.
I’ll be home as well, but Mom and my sisters will have fun. Bailie has lots of huggles to pass out.
Anxious to see the photos your mom takes of your wiley/active/goofy/mischevious sisters …and all the goodies in the swag bag. Chewy Rocks! Thanks for turning us on to it several years ago. Hope you win the Bloggers contest.
We’ll see what my sisters get into. The big question is if Mom will put them in daycare or not. The past times, Bailie escaped, so not sure if Mom will try it again.
Mom will be going and taking Chanel. She can’t wait to meet your mom and sisters…and she completely understands you staying home though you will be missed.
I’m sure Mom and my sisters will love meeting everyone they don’t yet know, and our old friends too. I’d go if there weren’t other dogs there, but I just don’t like lots of dogs. Heavens, even my sisters get on my nerves all the time. Have fun!
Oh dear, we hope your mom is ready to chaperone the wild ones! They might sneak out at night to party with their friends!! Ha! My sister is so much like you Emma, she just wants to be home with mom. Even though I’m older, I still love other dogs and people! I would probably love Blog Paws! We look forward to lots of pictures! your doodle friend Dash
The two times Bailie and I went with Mom, we left Bailie at daycare and she busted out. The first time she got away and lost all her ID tags in Vegas, but they managed to capture her. Then in Nashville, she left and no one noticed. Some friends of Moms saw Bailie wandering around the hotel lobby and grabbed her. Not sure if Mom will give it another try or not!
So bummed that we will miss you – but there’s entirely too much construction going on at the house in Doodleville, can’t break away this year. We will of course follow along, and enjoy it through your sisters eyes!
Mom is still sad we had to miss last year, but work was too new and too busy. This year she will have to work and attend the festivities, somehow, but the drive is only 8 hours which helps. Maybe we will meet up next year, or if it is too warm at home you can come visit us in MN. The way it is going, there will still be snow this summer!
Emma, your sisters and Mom are lucky to have you to make sure they are all properly prepared! We are sad that we won’t be going this year. We would have loved seeing your Mom and Bailie again, and getting to meet Madison! Hopefully next year.
That is a bummer. It will be hard for Mom as she has to do her regular work while she is there, but she is hoping it will all work out well.
You two look great in your bag. Travel safe and tell everyone we say hey
Thank you. I think they will be allowed out of the bag once they get to the hotel π
That’s coming up quick, your going to have a great time!
I know. It is sneaking up on my mom. She has a lot to get done between now and when they leave.
Hope dey have lotsa fun!
No doubt it will be a great time. It always is.
I am going and it’s my first year, so excited.
You will love it! Mom went the first time by herself with a flat me and had a great time but realized it would be better with us along. My mom and sisters will see you there!
I’m with you Emma..I would much rather be spoiled at home! Rosy is all excited and can’t wait to see your sisters at BlogPaws!
xoxo,
Jakey, Arty & Rosy
It will be great to meet up in the furs. My sisters can’t have enough friends, and my mom would love to meet your mom too.
That’s exciting news. I’m super sorry that I won’t be meeting Miss Madison this year, but airfare was a bit high, and so we will have to sit this one out, but we will follow along on social media!!
We were hoping you would be there. Maybe next year.
