Last week, my sisters hit the road with Mom for Kansas City, Missouri for the 2018 BlogPaws Conference. It was a simple drive, about 99% on 35 going south, which Mom likes since she has no sense of direction!
After a just over six hour drive, the three of them arrived at the Sheraton Hotel. Madison was really impressed with the lobby, as she has never been in a super fancy hotel before. She travels a lot, but to places where there are no fancy hotels. Being the first BlogPaws for Madison, she had no specific job other than to take it all in and enjoy.
Bailie had already attended the conference twice, and knows her PR job well. She also understands the value of attending some of the sessions to learn more about blogging, and social media. To say Bailie hit the hotel floor with her paws running would be an understatement. “Over achiever” is how Bailie handles her job!
The first morning, the threesome had a nice walk in the warmer weather, but as you can see, the wind was really blowing. With the strong winds, there was no need to actually comb their furs into place!
Meeting the brands is where Bailie’s talent lies. She has no qualms about approaching the representatives, passing out her cards, and stealing samples. Raw Paws has freeze dried treats Bailie adores. She made several passes by their table to grab some tasty snacks, after giving them her business card.
Mom and the girls were all really looking forward to meeting with Halo, but we will have more on that meet up another day. The second day of the conference, they had dogs taking photos in their frame to get food donated to pets in need. My sisters did it up right, wearing the XXL sunglasses in their purple and pink colors.
A stop at the Mejowijuana booth was a must! Cat bro Bert is a huge nip head, and my sisters wanted to bring back some nip samples for him. Bert hangs out with the two of them a lot. They pretend to not like him much, but are actually good pals. Mom got herself a Meowijuana t-shirt because it is such a fun company!
My sisters met up with KoruBear. Our moms have been blog friends since the first BlogPaws they went to in 2013. Madison was crushing on him. Something really gets her going when it comes to Golden boys. The three took a photo at the Chewy.com booth.
Sticking with the beach theme, Bailie and Madison visited the Frontline Plus folks and took a dip in the pool filled with balls. They were not too sure about a pool with balls instead of water.
Checking out brands, meeting people, and eating snacks can be tiring. Thankfully, at the Kansas City Conference this year, there was a Comfort Zone area with comfy couches for some relaxation time.
After a break, the girls were back out working the PR thing. Everyone was loving the two of them, always wagging butts and tails, and their always happy dispositions. Next up was a visit to Stella and Chewy. We all love their food toppers at our house.
Bailie was quite interested in the Vita Bone Artisan treats. They sure looked swell in those glass jars. Thankfully there was a human around to open the lid and get a cookie or two out for Bailie.
Another special friend my sisters met up with in Kansas City was Rosy and her mom from Living Laughing Barking In Our Backyard. She is a super sweet puppy, and her mom is really nice too. My mom and sisters hung out a lot with them.
Attending a blogging conference is hard work, and really wears a dog out! Friday morning at breakfast, Bailie was exhausted.
Little Madison was also tuckered out. Thursday night, she crashed in the chair so fast, Mom didn’t even have time to remove her harness or collar.
Special for humans to keep those sugar levels up, there were “poop” cookies from Halo for dessert on Friday. Mom never had a cookie with poop on it before, but she said it was super tasty! This is only the tip of the iceberg of everything that went on over the three days the My GBGV Life team was in Kansas City, but we decided to post a few highlights rather than bore you with everything.
oh you met Koru and Rosy and you saw so much beautiful things… next time we travel to Blogpaws with you instead to roll through ole germany, that’s for sure ;O))))
You find more Bratwurst in old deutschland, but that is about it π
Always a fun time. I’m pretty sad I couldn’t make it this year.
It was a different feel this year and will never be the same again, so we are glad we did go.
Wow ya’ll sure had a lot of fun wif lots of yummy foodables!! Those poop cookies made Mom LOL π
xoxo,
Matt & Matilda
Only at a pet conference, right, LOL!
I’m glad you all had a good time at Blogpaws. I want to go just for the swag. ; )
You need to send your team like I do, and have them bring the swag back to you.
Sounds like you had a great time. Anxious to see what happens with BlogPaws moving forward.
We had a good time. Hopefully they will continue to offer paid campaigns so we can cover our costs, but right now there are no definite plans for anything.

OMD what a fabulous time…and to get to meet Miss Rosy Sassy-panst and her mama – well that was extra special! I had the great joy of meeting angel Dory and the mama a couple of years back and Rosy has taken up her role really well!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Rosy is a very sweet little lady puppy. Madison is much more of a sassy pants type, and instigator!
Poop cookies – that is too funny! Your Mom was brave to try those. LOL. It looks like the girls had a great time, and they were so lucky to get to meet the handsome Koru Bear, and the adorable little Rosy! It was fun to see the highlights, wish we could have been there!
Mom is glad they went. We will now wait to see what direction things take.
We are so sad that we missed what could be the last BlogPaws conference as we know it. I’m so glad you saw Koru and Rosy! We love them. β₯
It was already a bit different in feeling Mom said. We will see what the future brings.
I’m really sad I didn’t go, and get the chance to meet Madison. I suspect things will change immensely and I’m afraid I won’t be seeing many blogging friends anymore.
We are going to wait and see what unfolds. At our house we tend to be optimists, so for now we are hoping for the best.
Baillie really knew how to connect with the vendors and get some goodies. poor Madison, all tuckered out. looks like all of you had a wonderful time.
Bailie was even more tired than Madison, but they both had so much fun, there is no reason to feel sorry for them at all.
OH! the last blog conference???? HOW sad! But looks like you did it up Grand aas we GBGVs say.

We really don’t know what the future will be like with a new crew heading it all up. Hopefully things will continue on.
I had a blast meeting your sisters, Emma. They really did a great job representing you! I did get a good look at how boy crazy Madison is though. She sure is an expert at flirting with the boyz!! I kept an eye on her though, and think I learned some things.
Mama is also really glad she went this year and got a chance to experience things before they change. We are with you though, and are optimistic about the changes and think that, no matter what, pet blog people will always find a way to get together!
xoxo,
Rosy(who can’t wait to get home tomorrow!)
Hard to believe some of our friends are still on the road. It was really nice having a six hour drive for a change! We will be looking forward to seeing your photos from the trip.
Looks like a awesome time was had by all.
Mom and my sisters had a lot of fun.
Looks like Bailie and Madison had a great time! I can understand Madison’s crush on KoruBear – I have a crush on him myself! And that poop cookie for your Mom is still making me giggle.
Mom thought it was a super fun idea for a pet conference, and she loves cookies, even with poop!
Great seeing you and we are sorry we didn’t get pics together. Loved your dogs and seeing you!
It is always great seeing everyone. Had we known how things would have ended, we would have been insistent on a photo, but we figured there is always next time. Hope you are feeling better and we are excited to hear about your new journey! Hugs to Dexter.
Great pics! Looks like you all had a great time.

Woofs! it was pawsome seeing you guys π enjoyed taking photos with you. Mom can’t forget how your mom walk you guys π We are looking forward seeing you next year … FL. Lots of Golden Woofs, KORU BEAR
Hopefully it will all work out and we will all meet up in Florida. It was great seeing you guys, and we were happy to provide the entertainment with the hands free leash. We will plan a continuation in Florida next year.
I am so glad that Madison got her first BlogPaws experience and at a lovely hotel. Bailie sure is smart to approach the brands like that! I am also glad that cat bro Burt got goodies and has great dog siblings looking out for him! It is so cool that you all got to visit with sister Rosie!
Oh and I enjoy the poop cookie too. π
It was a fabulous whirlwind as always, but a good time was had by all.
Love the photo of Bailie at the table π Glad you had a good time
It was fun and we are glad we went since it will all be changing now.
