Welcome to our inspiration headquarters, aka home office. This is where the magic for my blogging dynasty all happens, and Mom runs her business from here as well. We share the desk. Some people might find it silly having our walls plastered with certificates, ribbons, and photos, but for us, it brings happiness and motivation.
We are super lucky my mom has almost always worked from home. Sometimes she has to leave for appointments, but mostly she is home in our office with us. Our support is shown by just being close to her while we are snoozing in places like in the bed under the desk.
Bailie is the only one who occasionally will venture out of the office to hang out on the landing. She loves that spot because she can see the front and backyards, as well as most of our main floor. Nothing will happen on her watch. It also keeps the wet dog smell down in the office if Bailie has been out in the rain.
I have always had my window seat so I can keep an eye on our neighborhood. Katie was the original watch dog, but she passed the job on to me when I was around two years old. From my location, I can also keep a close eye on Mom at our desk in case she needs any assistance with her work.
When I feel the need for a nap, Madison is always bright eyed and bushy tailed ready to take over in the front window. She rarely sleeps in that bed because everything she sees seems to be potential criminal activity.
I hop out of the window and into my wicker residence with our Molly Mutt bed. This is still the most popular place to nap in the house. It is never without a dog unless we are all not home!
It’s super cozy in our office with the walls full of our successes, and beds all around the perimeter. Bailie also has a bed she enjoys napping in right next to our desk. We are truly thankful to have such a nice place to be together, and to have a mom who can work from home almost all the time. Our inspiration headquarters is pretty much the best place to be in the house most of the time. Do you have a place like this in your home?
We are joining Brianโs Home Blog in the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Wow! What a cool office! Mom was really impressed. Nice work! your doodle friend Dash
It works well for us, cozy and inspirational. Thank you.
it is great to have inspirations and memories on your wall you can look back and you can plan for the future while being in da present ;O)
We love to think back on the times and also see what we have accomplished.
It really is wonderful that your Mom works from home so y’all can help her. We’re thankful that the Dad is retired and is mostly home these days. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Being retired would be even better as that work thing takes up a lot of time!
You guys are lucky indeed. I love being able to be home with my pooches too.
We all love hanging out together even if it isn’t always real exciting.
The dog-daddy and I are both retired now – and mostly at home except for appointments or family visits – so we enjoy our family time. I love the idea of hanging up those ribbons and certificates/awards along with the pix! My office wall space is mostly taken up with shelving.
Our walls are too full for shelves, but we do have a small bookcase on one side. Not having to be gone for work for hours is really nice.
Those who work together, play together.
Around here, we do almost everything together, and it is lots of fun.
You all deserve a wall for your certificates in photos for all your hard work
Mom has one wall, the one with the big space for a double door if we wanted one for her stuff, the other three are all for us pups.
The boys love spending time in my office or Skip’s “mancave” when we are working in our rooms. They want to be wherever we are all of the time and that’s perfectly fine with us. โฅ
Together is the best way to be!
You’re living large. I love it.
Have a woof woof Thankful Thursday. My best to you mom. โฅ
I envy all your beds (right now (my one real bed is held captive by maintenance here), but I still have the cat tree, the office chair and my big bed I share with Mommy. And somewhere around here is my SleeepyPod. Mommy wishes she could have worked from home, but now she’s retired anyway.
My kitties have even more beds around the house, and they love to borrow our dog beds too.
That is such a great office!! I love all your certificates, ribbons, and photos on the walls. I miss my office at our old house. Now I work mostly at the dining room table! I have an office but it’s on the wrong end of the house. I need to be able to keep an eye on our birds outside, and the dining room is the best location for that. It’s not ideal, but Luke has lots of places he can sleep and be right with me. You definitely are lucky to have a work at home Mom. I at least get to do some of my work from home, and those are the best days!
Mom’s office was in the back of the house at first too, but she hated being back there, so we moved to the front room and it is perfect. We are truly lucky.
You are lucky pups, you have a lot of great places to snooze.
Mom has cat and dog beds all around the house so we always have good places to rest if we feel like it.
It is no surprise to me AT ALL that your Mom’s office is meticulous! No wonder your blog is so fabulous!!
Thank you, but don’t look closely at the desk, we keep it rather messy ๐
Doodleville is still covered with plastic, can’t wait for the renovations to be completed on the 1st level of the house. Sometimes I leave and go down the street to Harold’s Cabin just to write.
We need to get the carpets cleaned which means moving for a day to the kitchen to work. Mom doesn’t even want to do that, so we feel for you big time.
You are so much tidier than the Dash Kitten Crew, honestly you are!
Mom says our kitties make more of a mess than us doggies do around here.
Have a super “Take Your Dogs to Work Day” and a better weekend.
We are at work every day in our home office ๐ Happy weekend to you too!
We are trying to find that pace in our new house…You have the perfect place to get things done and stay inspired!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
We didn’t use this room for our home office the first year or so, but then Mom realized it is the room that she really feels best in, so we set it up.
What a beautiful space.
