Have you ever wondered what career path your dog would take if she was a human? Mom works from home, so we hang out with her all day. She often asks us to help out with her work load, but we never do. I think it is a lack of interest in her business. Real estate is boring for us, and for Mom, but it is what she knows. What would motivate us to get out into the work force if we were humans?
I’m very talented, and kind of full of myself. I do modeling, and I run my own blogging empire. These jobs are all great for a hound, but what if I was a human? A career in accounting would be the right path for me! No doubt, I would be a CPA, because I am very smart. I love to work on my own, I’m good with numbers, never try to short me with treats, I don’t ever hurry, and I’m very detail oriented. Mom says I’m extremely honest, focused, and pressure never gets to me. I could see myself befriending numbers day in and day out. What do you think?
How about the wild child in the family, Bailie? Did you know my mom was a flight attendant for eleven years? Bailie hears stories about all those years from Mom, and she is sure flying would be the right job for her. What qualifies her to be a waitress in the sky? She tends to be lazy, and prefers to work as little as possible. Mom loved only working ten to twelve days a month, and getting paid for a full time job. I don’t think the job is like it was when my mom was flying, but Bailie thinks the wild parties around the world on layovers would suit her well. We all know she is super friendly, and loves adventure. My only concern is that she might tear up seat cushions if she gets to excited about something inflight! Can you imagine Bailie offering you chicken or beef on your next flight?
Last but not least, little Madison needs a career path. She is our tech hound, but Madison, like Bailie, is very social. Being locked up with computers all day long would not be for her. After a lot of thought, Madison has decided she would like to work for a non profit company helping others. She enjoys working hard, and is not at all interested in a lot of pay. Working to help others would be reward enough for her.
Have your pets ever given any thought to what they would choose for a career path if they were human?
Oh my goodness, that’s a toughie, but y’all chose wisely. I would sure work at a non-profit helping others too. Sister Zoe would be a good barber since she is an expert at removing fur. Sister Dolly would be a hair stylist so she could be around brushes all day. Sister Seal would likely be a model. Brother Simon? He would probably be a clown since he loves to entertain!
LOL! You all chose some good careers! Love Simon’s job, really fits the boy.
Oh I bet you 3 would be fabulous in your jobs… and we would only fly with Bailie’s airline! We would go to oxford for a while to enjoy the wild life of students…let’s say for 87 years… and then we see if we can become presidents of Liberatalia or something like that…
I wonder if they would allow you crazy boys at Oxford? They are so very proper over there.
What a fun question! I think Dash would have been a very good butler. He liked things in order and was a gentleman in every respect. Lilly, however, would probably just want to find a way to win the lottery and not work! Great post! We love your three choices.
Maybe Lilly and Bailie can play the lottery together? A butler, forgot all about that as a career. Perhaps at a mansion in England.
First, I love all your outfits. So stylish. I think those jobs would be good for you three. Torrey would work with people, and help them feel better. A doctor, or a nurse. Roxy, would be a Walmart greeter. Sheβs pretty sure everyone is here to see her anyway.
Madison would also do well as a Walmart greeter. Nice that Torrey would be in the medical field, but lots of school involved there!
Love all your jobs – each one would be perfect for you girls! Shadow would have been a therapist; but she’s retirement age now and she is my therapist. She and Callie were a great team, so Callie would have done it together. Ducky would be a bouncer at a bar. ? She may be shorter than her sister, but she’s incredibly strong and doesn’t like troublemakers. (Though she loves to make her own brand of trouble! Hehe)
A bouncer, now that is funny! We are mom’s therapy dogs, but that is it because she isn’t at all interested in turning us into therapy dogs for others. We do enough with her therapy, LOL!
my sister was a flight attendant for over 30 yrs. the job has certainly changed over the yrs and lost a lot of the perks. Harley (Harlequin Hullabaloo) would have been a clown, she does the craziest things. Evie would have been a soccer player, she could do headers, dribble the ball and kick the ball. we would play for hours. Tressa, i think she would be a deer hunter. she loves to chase after deer. but her real passion is food, she is a real foodie, so i think she would be a top notch chef.
Katie was a soccer player. She would have been a women’s team pro. Flight attendant is not what it used to be at all. Luckily, Mom was out before it really started going downhill.
Wow! Interesting question! Chablis would be a doctor as he is so good at detecting blood pressure, blood sugar, seizures and migraines as well as comforting people in emotional distress. He is fabulous with people with all sorts of disabilities, so he would specialize in that field. Elbe would either be a circus clown, tightrope walker, contortionist, or stunt man. He can’t make up his mind – he is very smart, has a “Gumby” body, knows lots of tricks and invents more, could run circles around the Energizer Bunny, and loves attention. He also thinks he could be an agility instructor for deer as he is phenomenal at jumping and twisting in midair.
Chablis as a doctor is quite impressive! None of us would be in the medical fields. Poor Elbe, he is super smart, but just wants to have fun, somewhat like Bailie.
Well, Benjamin would definitely be a chef or a food critic!!! Zachary would be a nurse or a doctor since he is the one that notices and attends to all of our physical issues; and Mia would probably be a news reporter – nothing escapes her notice and she talks about everything!
Ha, ha, ha, Mia sounds really funny. Good career choices!
Our Little Bit would have been a big game hunter. She thought she was the most fierce pup out there. She wasn’t, but we let her think so.
I linked this post to Happy Tuesday. Fun post.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your mom. β€
Thank you. We didn’t know about Happy Tuesday, but we are happy and it is Tuesday!
I think you have all selected jobs that would be ideal for you. Bentley would be an FBI agent and Pierre would be an entertainment supervisor on a cruise ship.
Oh, I can see those careers for you guys! FBI agent can be dangerous, keep your ears open for danger!
I would be a nurse or maybe a doctor! I love lending an ear, kissing boo-boos, snuggling to give comfort, and observing humans closely! XOXO Sparkle
I bet your mom loves that about you!
What a fun post, and what great jobs you girls chose! It’s tough to figure out what Luke and Sam might do. Luke is a smart boy too, but he hears me say how boring bookkeeping is, so he’s not sure about that. Since he is not social, but very smart, he would probably enjoy working with computers. Samantha would probably choose to be a stay-at-home Mom…she is very nurturing, or maybe a nurse?
I bet Luke would be great with computers and Samantha would make a wonderful mother.
You three came up with some wonderful choices!
We had to give this one some thought…
We think Arty would be a pawlice officer, because he likes to keep everyone in line…
Jakey would definitely be in the health filed, probably some kind of therapist or couselor..he’s very empathetic.
As for Rosy, she would be in entertainment field. Maybe an actress or a super model as she just loves to be the center of attention around here(and can be quite the drama queen)!
Thanks for making us think about this…you never ever know when you might have to choose a career path!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
So glad you had fun thinking about your career paths. I will remember to be cautious around Arty, I don’t need any trouble with the law! Jakey sounds so gentle, and my sisters know Rosy loves the limelight!
Well, a few of us were thinking of becoming mattress testers.
LOL! Now that is a great career idea!
Little Girl just walked in the door, and i asked her what her dog, Coda, would do for a job if she were a human. Her immediate answer was, βCoda would be a crazy cat lady!β Itβs probably true, that big dog loves cats and small dogs and wants to snuggle them all of the time.
Ha, ha, ha…I think our cat bro dog would be a dog trainer. He thinks he is a dog and he loves to try to train us canine siblings.
Since Duncan loves to jump high to catch his ball when we play fetch, he would do well as an acrobat in the circus.
That sounds like a real fun career.
You girls all chose such interesting jobs. I think Delilah would be a food taster, or a cook, anywhere she could sample what she was doing. Sampson would love to be the greeter at Walmart, he loves people so much.
He can join Madison and Bailie as the Walmart greeter. They too love people.
loved this post! Dakota would 100% be 24 hour security BOL!
I bet he would do a great job!
Very cool jobs as humans, mom was a flight attendant that is cool, I like flying but might not be able to deal with the dumb people.
Mom flew a long time ago, just when it started to lose its appeal. She wouldn’t want to be a flight attendant these days.
