I have been on the prowl for natural joint support. A few months before my twelfth birthday, Mom noticed I was sleeping a lot, and I wasn’t very interested in going for walks. Even walks I love, that are about an hour long, were no longer something I wanted to do. Mom would need to keep prodding me along or I would turn around, and try to go home. This was extremely sad for both of us, but we didn’t know how to get me back on the road again.

We were not only concerned about my joint health, but Madison too because of her agility sports. Herbsmith contacted us about trying some of their products. After some discussion, we settled on the Sound Dog Viscosity. Madison is a pretty small girl, so Herbsmith sent her the small chews. With our favorite food snob, we never know if she will eat something or not.
Of course, Madison couldn’t wait to dive in, but she then spit the chew back out in like a million pieces. The good news is, I can eat her chews, so they are not wasted. Grinding them up, or trying powder is not an option with Madison, as she will simply not eat her meal if something “odd” is sprinkled in with it. Believe me, we tried. For Madison, we will have to find another option.
I was ready and willing to try the Sound Dog Viscosity large chews. Picky eating is also in my genes, but I’m nothing like Madison! I’ve got my own big package with 120 large chews, and I take two a day. I’ll need to take several of the small chewables, but I like them, so it isn’t a problem.

My dog is almost 11 & has bad arthritis, along with IVDD. He does therapy but still has a tough time. It would be nice to try something new.
Over the years with Katie, we learned that some things work better for one dog than others. These supplements are working great for me. Mom is amazed at my energy and desire to do stuff.

My Malamute is turning 8 years old next month which is getting old for a large breed dog. I have him taking joint supplements daily to help his joints as he ages and i would love to try this kind!
They are working super well for me, so I recommend them. Sometimes things work better on one dog than another, but you won’t know unless you try.

I think it is really good for agility dogs because they take a beating with all the jumping, turning, and running.

i have been using this product for many years. i love Herbsmith. i like the ingredients in this product. it contains more than other joint products and they are natural. i like that it helps with protecting my dogs as they get older and need that little bit of help to keep them active and healthy. it is really good for active dogs.

We’re so glad these have helped you, Emma! We know how much you and your Mom enjoy your walks together. I wish I had known about these things when Cricket and Sheba were both young and very active. It might have helped them in their senior years when they had joint issues.
Luke is on a couple of different things now that seem to be working well. But if we ever need to make a change we will definitely keep these in mind.

Madison and anything edible is always challenging. We may give her liquid that gets poured over her food if she will still eat the food.
I have three rescued Treeing Walker Coonhounds. The two boys, Kenji and Seiji;are both almost 9 years old and I can see that they are both starting to have some issues with their joints. I’d love to be able to try this product with them. (Both are around 75 pounds.)

We also have long backs and are always careful about not hurting our backs. I bet your mini Dachshund would feel better overall with these supplements.
My 38 lb. girl would benefit from Sound Dog Viscosity because she is a very active 10 year old. We walk 5 miles almost every day and we have agility equipment in our yard that we have fun on. Joint support and anti-inflammatory herbs should make her feel better.
She is about my size, and does about the same amount of exercise. I bet it would help her get her paws in motion and feel better.
