Healthy training treats are so important in our family. We are involved in a lot of sports, so we need a lot of rewards. Being the family food snob, it’s challenging to find something healthy that I will eat. I need treats that I like enough to make it worth my while to work for them.
My GBGV Life received one package of Stella & Chewyโsยฎ Beef Heart Treats from Chewy.com to review as a member of the Chewy Influencer Program. This was the first time I ever had to choose the #ChewyInfluencer product to review. Emma used to sometimes choose products for me to review. On the positive side, I know what sounds good to me, which made it a bit easier for me to choose a product I would enjoy reviewing. I received my product from Chewy.com right before we headed out to Sioux Falls for AKC Scent Work. It was the perfect time and place to review these treats.
Part of the reason I am such a food snob is that I only like really nice, quality foods and treats. When I saw Stella & Chewy’s Beef Hearts Treats on the list, I knew they would be tasty. These treats are simple – just beef hearts, freeze dried, and in the right size to be used as a healthy training treat.
As I said, these treats are just beef hearts, nothing else. They are freeze dried, and loaded with protein which is ideal for a sports reward. I could hardly wait for someone to open the bag for me.
Don’t forget, I’m a scent hound, so I know if something smells good or not. Trust me, the aroma wafting out of this bag was really nice. I almost wanted to help myself to some treats, but I don’t do that kind of thing.
My mom helped me out, and took a piece of the beef hearts out of the bag. See what a nice size it is. They also don’t seem to crumble much. Lots of freeze dried treats end up as powder in the bottom of the bag, but not these.
Mom let me give that nice piece of beef heart a try. I really loved it. As a matter of fact, the titles Bailie and I received were all rewarded with the beef heart treats. I’m pretty sure my mom will be ordering more of these for our future training. Stella & Chewys has some other flavors too, like lamb, and chicken, in case your dog doesn’t care for beef. Chewy.com has so many awesome products. I love them!
we love this treats… and treats you can have in your pockets without creating a mess are just great!!!
My mom says she gave up on treats in the pockets a few years ago. We have numerous pouches for different occasions, much less mess.
Beef heart treats a dogs dream come true.
Have a heart for hearts is what I say! Yummy in my little tummy.
Glad you like your new treats, Madison!!
I really do like them.
I eat Stella and Chewy’s toppers every morning on top of my beck-e-fast. I am also a food snob and they are YUMMY! XOXO, Sparkle
Toppers don’t work for me because I am too smart to fall for the trick. I pick out each piece of topper and leave the kibble all over the kitchen!
We will have to check these out!!! Thank you Madison for ‘alerting’ us.
Good one, guys! If I like something, you know it has to be good!
BJ (first dog) and Duncan (present dog) love them.
We have used the toppers for treats before, but they turn into powder so easily. These are much better, and tastier too.
It sure looks like you chose wisely sweet Madison!
I think I did. These treats are so good.
Great job Madison! I think Mom ordered these for us too. YUMMY!!
You guys are lucky too, then! Yay!
You are a natural #chewyinfluencer, Madison! Stella and Chewy sure do know how to make nommy treats! Rosy loves them all…We may have to try these for Jakey(our resident food snob).
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Thank you. I have done some reviews, but Emma always was there to help me out. I’m learning all on my own now.
Emmadog, you look fabulous! You are doing a really nice job helping mom adjust to the new normal. Youโre such a good, good girl????
I’m trying hard, but it is not easy.
I was so tempted to try these for our review this month! They sure look good! I bet the collies would love them! There were just too many awesome choices this month!
A food snob like me doesn’t have many choices, but I could tell this one would be a winner because it was pretty much just the meat.
Great choice Madison and we are so glad you like them. Lexie and Mica use to get freeze dried liver for training and woods walks.
I have a lot of dehydrated and freeze dried treats. Being so picky, they seem to almost always be something I like to eat.
Luke is not picky at all, but I am picky about what he eats. I’m always looking for good treats for training at home and on walks. These sound pretty good!
They can’t get much healthier, just the one ingredient.
I think we’re going to have a talk with Mom to get som
XOXO Charlie and Hope
The only complaint I have is that they are already all gone. We used them for nose work rewards, and they just vanished way too fast. Tasty!
