Holiday decorating can really be exhausting for a hound. Bailie and I had to work extra hard this year figuring things out on our own. Once we finished, I needed a good snooze!
I was in charge of decorating the tree. Lucky for me, we have a fake tree. Mom leaves the lights on it all year, so once it arrived at the correct spot, all I had to do was hang some ornaments. I’m short, which means it was almost all ladder work. For safety, we never hang ornaments low on the tree because we dogs bump into them, causing them to fall and get broken.
Bailie wanted to hang up the stockings this year. She is good with math, and knows how to space them correctly. We decided to go with a tip one of our readers gave us, and we hung up Katie and Emma’s original stockings. This year it feels good to have their stockings hanging next to mine and Bailie’s. Remember, we have a discount code if you would like to order some for your dog, or the fish ones for kitties.
While Bailie was finishing up her project, Mom decided to decorate me for fun. I’ve really taken to being a photo model. I come running when I see the camera, and I insist on being in every photo. Even my mom is amazed at how I know just how to pose. Can you see I am almost smiling? I posted this photo on our Facebook page yesterday for Decorate Your Dog Day.
Next we headed out to the garage to make the pots for the front step. Each of us had one pot to do, but it was tricky. The pots had to look the same, but be mirror images of each other. I think we did a pretty good job accomplishing that goal, don’t you?
That my friends will finish our part in the holiday decorations for this year. It is looking pretty festive, but holiday decorating is super exhausting for a couple of amateur hounds like me and Bailie.
Don’t forget!!! It’s the last day to enter The Purrs & Paws Holiday Giveaway! $500 in prizes up for grabs!
