Last spring Emma received an email from a company that makes handmade pet memorial jewelry and keepsakes. At the time we had no use for it, but Emma kept it in her saved email folder, not knowing we would need it later in the year.

Ordering Your Handmade Pet Memorial Jewelry
Ordering a beautiful handmade piece was easy, the hard part was deciding what exactly to order. The Flowers Forever & Bellabeads website has so many wonderful pieces of jewelry, and other keepsakes. Everything is created with the ashes, fur, and flower petals. If you don’t have flower petals, not a problem, they will add petals in the color of your choice.
Once you decide on what you would like to order, you simply package up about a teaspoon of ashes, some fur clippings, flower petals if you have them, and send them in. You will also be asked to send along a digital photo of your pet. They have directions for how to ship on their website. Any unused ashes and fur will be returned to you along along with your memorial piece order. Our pendant came in a super pretty box with a nice bow, and further information on the care and use of our new jewelry.
Your Order Has Arrived
Mom opened the box to see the piece she had selected. Each piece of handmade pet memorial jewelry is different. Flowers Forever & Bellabeads uses the photo you send to get a feel for the colors of your pet. The fur, ashes, and petals are then used to create a one of a kind piece of jewelry. They didn’t need much of the fur or ashes we sent in, so the rest were returned to us.
After lots of back and forth, Mom decided on the Tear Drop pendant. I think she picked it because she has so many tear drops these days. We didn’t have any petals, but requested red tones be used as that was Emma’s color. Furs are swirled around in the 10 mm Bellabead, creating the unique patterns. The sterling silver pendant on a 16 inch chain, is something Mom can wear anytime, and it won’t get lost, or fall out of a pocket. It will keep Emma close to her heart.
Here is a shot of the front and back of the pendant. See how each side is different? The one side has more of Emma’s brown furs, the other more white streaks. Mom didn’t clip any black furs, but that is alright.
We are all super happy with how the Tear Drop pendant turned out. You can bet Mom is wearing it almost all the time too!

Bert and Sophie would not miss any of us if we left right now, but they are cats! Mom loves this pendant, and we think it is fate that Emma saved that email, even though we didn’t need it back in May.

Mom doesn’t know why she clipped some of Emma’s furs, she even had to ask someone to bring her a scissors, but she is glad she did, and we still have furs left.

It only uses a tiny amount of furs and ashes, so we went for it. What a great way to carry Emma close to Mom’s heart, and you could carry Dory.

i love it, but all of my baby’s ashes are in the urn. i do have some of her hair left though. this is just beautiful. i think i would cry all of the time though.
Mom does cry about the pendant, but she cries about almost everything Emma. It is nice to have her close.
