Storytelling:Β a Love Story, is the challenge for #DogwoodWeek7. The rules for this week are to make viewers feel the love in this week’s photo, and tell a love story in one image. I thought my photo with the chalkboard would do for the challenge, but Mom said she wanted something better.
It’s always hard because Mom has to take the photo, so she can’t be in the photo. I guess with a timer and tripod it might work, but that is not what we wanted to do. Being as Bailie and I are so close, Mom tried a paw in paw shot with some hearts since it was Valentine’s week. Paws are always fun in photos. In this shot, Bailie’s paw is on top of my paw. It’s cute, but not quite right.
I have this thing about licking Bailie in the ear. It’s something I do a lot, but Mom never seems to be able to get a photo of it. Usually, it is too dark, she doesn’t have her camera in her hand, or we are in the car driving down the road, so she can’t possibly take a photo. The other morning, Bailie and I were looking out our front window, and I decided to lick her in the ear. Mom jumped with her camera, and grabbed this shot. It is the best we could get, as she didn’t have time to adjust much before I stopped licking Bailie’s ear.
We think it shows my love of Bailie, and her patience with me. Black and white seemed to make it a much better display of love to our eyes. What do you think?
I love all three photos, but the one of you licking Bailie in the ear is absolutely precious! You girls are as close as Callie and Shadow always were, and the memories your photos inspire make me smile. Thank you.
We smile when our blogging friends are smiling. Thank you. I really do love Bailie, and she loves me too. She is very sweet and patient with me.
That is some very sweet sister love,
I’m pretty attached to Bailie.
Awwww, that’s so perfect. I love the whole story in the image.
Thank you. We are lucky Mom got a shot of it at all. I only do it when I feel like it and only for a few seconds.
Wonderful love story and sweet photos of the precious doggies ~ ^_^
Happy Day to you,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Thank you. My sister and I are besties π
I have a thingy about licking Cousin Willow’s ears so I totally understand this show of affection!
And may I say what LOVEly photos you have shared with us today
Loves and licky kisses
Princess Leah xxx
Thank you, Leah. Mom has never had a dog who licked another’s ears, but I love to do it. Mom has noticed I do it when Bailie is stressed a lot too.
I agree about the black and white. You two love each other, and that is SO wonderful to see.
My mom wanted a sister for Bailie who would be as close with her as Katie and Emma were, and it worked out perfectly. We are so happy together.
Love all three.
Thank you. We figure we may as well post more than just one photo since we had another in the running.
it is perfect… and I’m sure all people would have the word love in their mind immediately ;O)
Thank you. At Bailie’s nose work trial on the weekend there was a Weim entered, but it looked like a small Irish Setter with Weim colored furs. I don’t think it was a real breed one because you boys have no furs like that, but we thought of you.
I bet as you are licking Bailie’s ear you are whispering to her “I love you!” XOXO, Sparkle
I do whisper that a lot because she is an awesome big sister!
A wonderful love story. You two are the best. So adorable.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a woof woof Awww Monday. My best to your clever mom. β₯
My mom is so happy that we get along so well. It’s great having a sister and bff all in one.
We love the photo!! But I will never let Chester kiss me!! No way!! I just think he needs to go to his home wherever that is! Have a great day! Thanks for sharing such a great photo! your friend Lilly
You will warm up to him. Bailie was scared of me the first few days, but then she realized how fun I was and we have been besties ever since π
You two are stars!!!
π
Awww, yes!
Thank you.
That definitely shows your love!! We thought it looked like you were telling Bailie a secret too. π
Our golden retriever Moses used to be an ear licker – he would clean all of his silbings’ ears!
I usually just like to lick Bailie’s right ear for a few seconds and then move on. It does look like I might be whispering.
You two are definitely sweet looking together and I know you love one another. The B&W photo is a nice touch. Great Awww Mondays π
Thank you. We like the photo a lot. It is true us.
I think it’s a beautiful picture, very loving. All the pictures are hitting the LOVE mark. You are both darling today!
The challenge was during the week of love π
We love your sweet pictures and we love your blog!
Thank you Molly. We love reading your blog too π
I love the picture! You would be really handy at keeping Merlin’s ears clean. He’s always getting ear infections that boy of mine.
Poor Merlin. Have you seen our post on ear cleaner? Emma had chronic ear infections until she started using the homemade ear cleaner. Bailie and I use it too and have had no infections. Check it out. Some of our blog friends have also had “ear miracles” since starting to use it. https://mygbgvlife.com/2016/02/01/prevent-ear-infections-in-dogs/
What a wonderful moment your Mama captured!! We also think it looks perfect in black and white!
xoxo,

Thank you. Mom always has wanted a photo of this, but it never works out. Thankfully it just happened at the right time.
Yβall are so cute together! Iβm glad you love each other.
Mom is super happy about how close we are. It’s great having a bff that is also a sister.
Those are a couple of great love story photos!
Thank you.
If you look closely you can see a heart shape between you and your sister’s ear. So cute. β€οΈ
