Our kitty Sophie has recently switched to Halo cat food. Most of you don’t know much about her as she is a hermit cat. We rarely see her unless she is hungry, or at 4 am when she feels the need to wake us all up 365 days a year. She is beautiful and sweet, but not at all social.

My mom has tried to change Sophie’s food for a long time now, but Sophie is even more picky than I am! She also has very long pretty furs. Some of the other foods we have tried have either made her skin dry, or caused her furs to get oily and matted. Finally we decided to give her Halo food to test out. Halo sent us these three bags of holistic cat food. Sophie isn’t a fan of grain free, so we chose the flavors that are not grain free.
Cat bro Bert is on a special diet food, so he had to be locked up while Sophie did her review. That guy would not go away once her realized there was food out. We started by opening a bag and letting some food pour out. Sophie stuck her head right into the bag. For us, this was a sign that she likes the way it smells at least. The recipe Sophie was trying is made with whole salmon and whitefish, grains, non-GMO vegetables and fruits, and NO “meat meal” of any kind! The real fish makes such a big difference.
Eventually, she got her head out of the bag and started to eat the food spilled onto the floor. Since she never steals food, or begs for food, eating off the floor was new to her and she was a bit unsure.
Mom put some of the food into Sophie’s food bowl. Halo cat food has no animals raised with antibiotics, no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives, and no factory farming. It is truly good food for cats. You know we love it for us dogs too. The pieces are also a good size for Sophie to chew.
After sampling the Halo cat food for a couple weeks, we’ve noticed Sophie’s furs are much softer, and her coat looks better than it has in a while. She also has a lot less output, which means her body is using the food, not just sending it right back out. Sophie loves the taste, and we love that she has variety too. If you are looking for a healthy dry food for your kitty, check out Halo! Our Sophie is purring loudly about it!
Sophie sure is pretty! We are gonna give that food a try, it sounds quite good!
I bet you all will love it. Sophie is such a picky eater and she really likes it, plus it keeps her furs nice.
I am not quite sure what a cat is. I think I saw one once, but I did not react. My mom says there might be something wrong with me. XOXO, Sparkle
Cats are trouble. Cat bro Bert beats us up, and we are a bit scared of Sophie even though she never interacts with us. We respect her.
Yay Sophie! Purrfect review for some yummy food!
She isn’t much for photos, but she did a good job.
wow Sophie you are a pro in doing wonderful reviews!!!
She spends most of her time lying around looking pretty, but I guess she can work too.
Sophie is such a pretty kitty! Glad she likes her new food!
She is beautiful, but also very boring. She never does anything but sleep and eat.
You are a very pretty girl, Sophie, and we’re so happy that you like your new foodables.
She really does like the food which is saying a lot. Eating is not something she does much of normally.
I finks I could contact with my kitty genes to try some of that tasty foodables.
I say Sophie, you are a very BEAUTIFUL kitty
Loves and licky kisses

She is beautiful, but we never really see much of her. At least she doesn’t beat us up like our cat bro Bert.
We didn’t know you had two cats! We like cat food, but Mom never gets any for us; she says DOGS ARE NOT TO EAT CAT FOOD. Elbe
We have a CAT (named Clarence) living in our house too – he is not interested in being anywhere near us! Very much not fun. He is a picky eater too…although we can clean up anything he leaves, Mom doesn’t let that happen too often. We will tell Mom to look into Halo wet food for him. Clarence does not care for fish very much and that seems to be difficult to find things he does like.
Sophie likes their wet food too, but Mom doesn’t like wet food because it is so messy. Clarence might like Halo, we all love it because it is made with real protein, nothing farmed, no fake stuff.
Hi Sophie your beautiful, glad you liked your vittles.
She sure does love her new food.
It’s good when they take to food that’s good for them. Perhaps she’ll be more social now? Nah, I doubt it.
Have a purrfect day, Sophie. My best to your mom. ♥
No matter what she eats, she will always be a cat, so no hopes for her becoming social with us!
Sophie is so pretty!! That does sound like a good food. Sam is going through one of her fussy phases again, so we may need to try something new. This sounds like she’d like it
They have wet food too if she likes that better. I bet Sam would love it. We all love it here.
We know how delish our Halo food is, we bet the kitty food is just as good!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Sophie seems to think it is super yummy. Bailie has stolen a taste and liked it, but got in trouble…again…for stealing cat food!
Our cats have to be on a special diet, but this sounds very good.
Cat bro Bert has been on a special diet for years now, so he doesn’t get this new tasty stuff, but Sophie is loving it.
Sophie looks really pissed in the first picture. I fed BJ Halo all the time – dry and canned – and he loved it. I fed Duncan Halo also and he too loved. I had to switch to a weight management food.
We haven’t met a pet who didn’t like Halo because it is good stuff. Sophie just likes to be left alone, but sometimes she does need to come out and join in family things like reviews.
