Story telling – new beginnings is the challenge for #DogwoodWeek13. Our world is full of circular patterns; as some things end, others begin. Tell us a story of a New Beginning. Lots of things came to mind for this week’s challenge but trying to find a photo of those things was that hard part. As we do every week, we have a couple selections to show you.
My nose work trial was at a school over the weekend. One of the first doors we saw had this sign on it. It made us happy, and we thought what a great way to say, new beginning. Since we are not sure this is really the heart of what the challenge was looking for, we didn’t choose this photo.
Here in Minnesota, spring is all about the new beginning. Everything outside died in the winter, and now in spring life is starting all over, coming full circle, starting a new beginning. These are some new blooms on an apple tree. They are pretty, but we figured everyone would be using budding plants being as it is springtime.
For the challenge of new beginning this week our photo of choice is a new street in a new housing development. We go there at off times to practice nose work on the machinery, and since Mom is in real estate, a housing development fits. No dogs this week, but we think this beginning of a new street at sunrise which is the beginning of the day, is a good example for the challenge.
Be careful out there today, it’s April Fool’s Day, you know. This post is no joke, but we have already seen a lot of silliness around online.
Those are great examples of new beginnings. The blooms bought a smile to my face.
They do brighten up one’s day I think.
well picked photo… it is great to see such a new beginning… but it can be a challenge ift that beginning has no end and you look at the same picture 2 years after day one LOL
I think that would then be either bankruptcy or a scam from what I hear.
Love the photo and it’s just purrfect for the theme!
Lots of heavy stuff and dirt, but it is a new beginning.
That’s a great example of new beginning. You are really getting some tough photo prompts, and doing a great job with them.
We don’t read ahead, so each week we think next week will be much easier, but it only gets harder. Thinking caps are on for the next one.
New beginnings…it’s April 1st the beginning of a new month. Happy April and Happy April Fool’s Day! XOXO, Sparkle
It is the beginning of a new month. We thought about a photograph of a calendar at one point. Watch out for the fools today.
Yes, Spring is a wonderful time of new beginnings and the promise of warmer days and SUMMER!

It can be pretty, but not until later in spring. Here everything is dirty, brown, and ugly for the most part.
I love new beginnings. They are most wonderful and spring is my favorite beginning each year.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your mom. β₯
New beginnings can be super exciting. This part of spring is just plain ugly where we live. In a few weeks it will be better.
Great choice! HOPE it wins.
Thank you.
We think that suits your Mom perfectly, and it’s great that you have that place to practice some nose works! I also think it’s great that she took the shot in the morning, that adds to the story of new beginnings.
It worked out for the topic we think. Would have preferred a puppy or kitten, but we don’t have either of those around.
A new housing development is a perfect beginning!
We like that the stop sign is there, but the street is coming still.
What a wonderful beginning the new housing development represents…and how nice to see some Spring blooming in your neck of the woods!
xoxo,

To be honest, Mom had to go to the garden store to find the flowering trees. They don’t even have flowers out yet. Still ugly and brown around this part of the country.
New street, new lives in new houses, yes, that fits beautifully.
And taken at sunrise, the start of a new day.
All three were excellent choices for new beginnings. There is a lot of construction going on in our area too. Our neighborhood flower beds are being filled this week so we are looking forward to enjoying some spring flowers.
Still to early for flowers around here, but at least the mud is starting to dry up.
Very cool sign and pretty new beginnings of spring
