Story Telling, Shadow is the challenge for week 16 of the Dogwood Photo Challenge. The challenges are getting more and more difficult, but we are not giving up. The instructions for this week are to: Tell a story. Make it compelling while using only shadow. The first part of the week was rain, so there were no shadows, and we don’t really have a place to create shadows indoors. Instead, we waited for the sun to come back out. Notice the shadow on my chalkboard photo. I was in the challenge already!
Mom always loves our shadows when we are out walking because our furs stick up here and there. She finds our shadows to be funny looking. Bailie was the subject for this idea, but it just seemed more like a portrait, than a story. Back to the drawing board.
Being Easter weekend, and rabbit lovers, Mom had the idea for an Easter scene with shadows. The above photo is what we came up with, and is our choice for the challenge this week. Can you see the story? The Easter bunny with massively long ears dropped this Easter basket, and is making his giveaway. We think it is pretty funny. Have a fun week!
we love it… and we hope the shadow bunny lost his basket in our garden ;O)
He might have it was a big basket to carry over the pond.
You sure did a great job with those fun shadows!
Thank you.
Love it, super creative. Ya, tough challenges for sure.
Yeah, the one for next week we don’t even understand the meaning, so we have to do some research.
Great picture!
Thank you.
I hope the bunny found his basket to make sure you had a happy Easter!!
Oh, we had a super happy and fun Easter. Hope your Easter was fun too.
Great job!! “There goes Peter Cottontail….” I confess – I laughed my furs off when I saw your picture by the chalkboard! XOXO, Sparkle
I was feeling that crazy happy on a beautiful day.
What great shadows! Love the Easter bunny!
It seems like a good photo for the challenge.
Great shadow and I love those glasses. Way cool.
Have a woof woof day and week. My best to your mom. β₯
I’m trying my best to be fashionable.
Great story beyond a shadow of doubt! BOL! I hope your Easter was filled with love and fun at your Grandma’s!
We got to have a sleepover, and it was really fun. Hope your Easter was a hoppy one too.
That is a fun photo – great job!!
We love fun around here, you know.
Those are some really creative and well done shadow photos. Great work!
Thank you.
This is a very creative challenge…and we think you did a great job with your shadow story!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Thank you. These challenges just keep getting more and more difficult!
Heeheehee! That was a very good story, i hope that bunny leaves me something next year.
If we happen to run into him we will remind him to stop at your place.
It’s always lovely to play around with shadows and dogs. Nice job!
We see some great ones when the three of us are running early morning these days, but we can’t take a photo while we are moving, so that idea didn’t work out. Shadows can be real fun.
That shadow bunny had some LONG ears!
I know you girls will continue rising to each challenge – you’ve been doing great!
We may have to sit out this next one as Mom can’t figure out how to do it. Maybe a last minute idea will pop up.
Wagnificent!

Thank you.
Great shadows, I thought the one was scissors. Hehe the Easter ears.
A big, I mean huge eared rabbit!
