We are back with inspiration – weight or mass for the Dogwood Week 18 Challenge. It is really getting difficult for amateurs, and for those with a lot of rain. The instructions for the week are: Heavy as a stone, light as a feather. Find inspiration and shoot an amazing photograph.
Mom’s idea was a dog flying through the air, but with traveling and many rainy days, that was nearly impossible to do. We got one photo of me flying over an agility jump. This signifies light as a feather.
Bailie wanted to do something with mass and weight. She decided to put her front paws on the kitchen scale. She weighs forty six pounds, so it is almost half her weight there! Still, Mom found the photo a bit boring.
Here is our choice for the week. I am light as a feather as it looks as though I’m suspended in mid air with even my back paws off the ground. Ideally, a photo of a dog jumping off a dock would meet the challenge, but we work with what we have. What do you think?

I think it looks spectacular with you flying through the air. Great pic!
I do have some good jumping form.
You sure can fly sweet Madison!
It must come from my agility training.
I would love to train our Lucy to fly over an obstacle course. What great fun. Have a blessed week.
My mom loves to see me do agility.
Light as a feather for sure. I love that!
Thank you. These challenges are really tough!
You nailed it and mom was there to capture that shot. Perfect.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous day and week. My best to your mom. β₯
One flying hound π
Great choice.love the flying aspect.
We needed something to appear light as a feather, and that turns out to be me.
PAWSOME! You nailed it, not to mention the beautiful subject of the photo. I likes your yellow ribbon. π XOXO, Sparkle
Thank you. I love the bright and cheery color.
love the ideas tney are the pawfect interpretations of that motto… and that was brave to take a scale photo, the mama would be never brave enough to do that LOL
We are very gentle, partly because we are girls, but also not Weims, LOL!
We think you nailed it!!! We will have to start calling you “Airborne Ethos” LOL
I can really fly when I want to. Mom sees it at agility all the time.
Madison – you look like you are flying over the hurdles – Superdog!
Great pictures of you (and Bailie’s feet!).
Have a good week girls!
I do enjoy running a line of jumps in agility.
We like you flying and hanging in the air.
Thank goodness I landed and didn’t get stuck up in the air!
You look like you are floating!
Suspended in mid air, just like magic!
That was a great shot! I know just what you mean, I’ve been challenged to get photographs lately too with nothing but rain around here as well!
Ideas and weather together are a tough mix to get right now.
All photos are perfect but we love the last one bestest!
Thank you. We think it fits pretty well.
Great shot and you have such great form. Hey…you aren’t supposed to be on the furniture, are you?? BOL!
Emma was the last dog who followed that rule. Bailie had me on the furniture as a small pup, and I never stopped, so Mom gave in.
LOVE your ‘springiness!’
I may be short, but I can jump pretty well.
Incredible photos, nicely done!
Thank you.
Purrsonally, I rather not step on the scales. It always makes me depressed. I guess if I lay off the ice cream and other non-essentials then I’d be a lot thinner but that’s not much fun. *sigh* I guess I really need to crank things up in the dieting department because I really hate the added pounds. I wish I could get motivate earlier in the year. Great photo session!
My mom doesn’t want to go on a scale either, but we dogs don’t mind. We are both fit as fiddles π
Very clever photos for your challenge. Super!
Thank you.
