The birthday festivities for my sixth birthday were pretty good actually! Madison and Olivia managed to pull off a decent party with cake, ice cream, and a gift!
Madison is a tech hound, and she is smart. Her go to for party planning was Chewy.com. Olivia and Madison got everything they needed and it arrived in just a few days.
Since neither of them can bake, they ordered a funfetti cake for dogs and some birthday cake ice cream. How could they go wrong? All they needed to do was add water, oil, and stir. As you can see, Olivia was not at all helpful, so Madison decided to handle the kitchen end all on her own.
She added the water and whipped up the ice cream. Mom says is smells heavenly! It needed to be in the freezer for eight hours, so she did it plenty early.
Next, Madison put water, oil, and cake mix together and mixed it all together. It is vanilla flavor, and she says it was great to get to lick the beaters after it was all mixed.
The frosting was also super easy, just add water and put it on the cake. It even has real sprinkles in it! Mom served us each a slice of cake with a small scoop of ice cream. Doesn’t it look good? Let the birthday festivities begin!
Lucky for me, the sun started to come out for my party. We were afraid it might even rain, but it did not. The table was set, and I was waiting for my sisters to show up.
After howling happy birthday to me, we all dug into our cake and ice cream. Yes, I did kind of behave like Miss Piggy, but it was so tasty! Naturally, the family food snob was hesitant to try what she had made.
Madison did finally decide the cake and ice cream would not kill her, and surprise, surprise! She really loved the taste!
It was Olivia’s first party ever, and she was unsure about the entire event. She did eat her cake, but it was all a bit too strange for her to really appreciate.
I polished off my portion and really loved it. As you can see, I was having a swell time at my party!
Even the gifts were perfect. My sisters got me a new Furballz! I just love his bright colors and his squeaker is in tip top shape too! Mom entered me in two fast CAT runs this weekend. She thinks it might be a real winner of a sport for me. I’m excited to give it a try as I love to chase moving objects like bags and leaves. All in all, it was a great day with my family, and I am happy to be six! Thank you to everyone for all the birthday wishes too!

She was really baffled about the whole party idea, but she will catch on in time.

It’s always important to celebrate birthdays at our house.
Everything looks yummy – you had a delicious day!
Cake and ice cream were to drool for. Mom said they smelled so good, she wanted to have some, but she didn’t.
What a grrrrr-eat pawty!!! Your sisters did good with the cake and ice cream. Of course, Furballz are the best!!
My new Furballz is super cute. Now I have to keep him just for me so he doesn’t get puppy germs all over him.
What a fabulous Birthday pawty for you, Bailie! Madison sure did a great job baking the cake and making the ice cream! Love the rainbow Furballz!
Madison did the heavy lifting this time out. Maybe Olivia will figure parties out down the road. I’m glad it turned out so well.
You certainly had a great party Bailie! Madison can get a job as a pastry chef ! I don’t think it will Olive long to learn to enjoy your parties. Good luck this weekend on the CAT runs!
Olivia is so busy learning every single day. She will figure it out in time.
What a most pawesome and DELICIOUS celebration! You all look adorable!!!
Thank you. My birthday was a huge success.

Madison is a pretty smart girl and managed to pull together a nice party for me.
you know how to celebrate a super party! the mama dreams about having us around a table… do you think it will happen next month when da nelly turns two? …we have some doubts… you too?
You boys need to practice your manners. Maybe start with a table outside?
Sounds like your sisters managed to pull everything together for a fun birthday cake and all. Happy Birthday Baileyππ
Thank you. I had a very nice day.
You guys do the best ‘pawties!’ Happy birthday, dear Bailey…looks like it was all pawsome.
We had a real nice time, and I’m proud of my sisters for putting it all together.
Sorry we’re late – things have been a bit “off” around here and I was feeling down in the dumps but I feel better today – looks like you enjoyed your party, Bailie! Your sisters really came through for you big time! Olivia looks so silly-cute with the birthday hat on her nose! Madison really did a great job planning the party and making the cake and ice cream! (Maybe I’ll check out the cake and ice cream for Ducky’s 7th Gotcha Day (in September). Make her day really special since it’ll be the first one without her sisters here to help her celebrate.)
Hope you are feeling better. Being down really zaps a human’s motivation. I bet Ducky would like the cake and ice cream and it is super easy to make if Madison can do it.
