Would you like to chase a plastic bag? If anyone asks me, or even if they don’t ask, my answer is always, “yes!” I’m Bailie, and although I am six years old, I love to chase things that are blowing around outside which is why I loved my FastCAT run two weeks ago. Twin Eyes Photography took photos of the trials, so we purchased a few because Mom loves how they show my happiness in this sport.
And I am off on the one hundred yard course, determined to capture that fast moving plastic bag, aka the lure.
I know I can catch that thing. Can you believe, I didn’t even notice the area was only fenced on ones side? It would have been easy for me to escape and run off, but I prefer to chase a plastic bag!
For some reason I did slow down, but only for a moment. My floppy ears fell flat when I put the brakes on.
I’m focusing on the white poles, they are the electronic timers at the end of the run. I need to get my furry behind past them as fast as I can.
Hey, look everyone, I can really fly!
I’m determined to get that plastic bag even if it is after I pass the finish line.
The finish line is behind me but I am not giving up on capturing that speedy plastic bag!
I love to chase a plastic bag, but come on, slow down a bit for me!
Oh man, I put so much effort into the chase and then someone grabbed me right as I just about had the bag! This sport sure is a lot of fun for me. Mom says I will do it again one day, but trials are pretty hard to find. Does anyone else love to chase a plastic bag as much as I do? Thanks again to Twin Eyes Photography for taking such pawsome photos of my run!
We all think we would like to do that!!!!
It’s an easy sport because you don’t have to train, you just chase.
Oh, Bailie, such joy, enthusiasm, and beauty in every photo! You go, girl! Have a happy weekend. XOXO, Sparkle
I really loved it. My second run was good but right before the finish I heard my mom back at the start and decided to run back to her. She was happy I thought about her and came back, but she said next time I can keep running and she will come up to the finish to find me.
Run, Bailie, RUN ! π
Love the flying picture.
I’m pretty good at flying when I have some good speed!
oh we would love that kind of sports too!!! and we love your photos…. it really looks like a flying pup … maybe if you go back and with some more training you can become a hound-i-copter?
This sport doesn’t really involve training which is nice. It is just hard to find trials around our area.
What great action shots. Your photographer did an excellent job.
Have a woof woof day and weekend. My best to your peeps. β₯
We are lucky to have had her there at the venue.
My goodness, look at you go, you sure were having some serious fun!
Chasing moving objects or critters is my favorite hobby.
Those are great photos, and you look like you are having a blast.
I was totally focused on getting that lure, but then in the end, they grabbed me and put my leash on. No fair!
What awesome action photos, Bailie! What’s inside the bag that’s so alluring?
Nothing. It is just an empty plastic bag that is pulled along the course. It brings out a dog’s prey drive.
I love the sparkle of joy in your eyes – no pun intended – and the illusion of flight! Maybe your Mom needs to get a flirt pole. I’m thinking of getting one for Ducky…or at least of making one and using a stuffed squirrel toy as the lure.
We have that for cat bro Bert. Mom says she doesn’t need to increase my hunting instinct, but chasing the lure at a FastCAT trial is sure fun.
Beautiful fun photos. What a great day. We like chasing bags too.
Chasing in general is always a good time!
You are having so much fun, Bailie, what great shots! We bet it’s a nice change for your Mom too to just be able to sit back and watch – no pressure! π
Except that she messed up my second run by yelling to me to go. I then remembered I left her in the dust, so I put on the brakes, turned and ran back to her. She will learn.
Yes! Serious Fun! We would like to that!!! Well, Chablis is not so motivated anymore, but I can run faster than him now anyway. Mom has been trying to figure out how to construct a chase line in our back yard for years now. maybe if she sees this she will get re-inspired.

That is pretty much all this thing is. Loads of fun.
Zooooom! I love chasing just about anything too Bailie but sometimes a shiny thing makes me lose my concentration. You look like a natural and I can tell by the look on your face, you are having a blast!
xoxo,
Rosy
I was after it as if it was a critter. I do the same on windy days when I see something blowing in the road.
You can fly! Almost. And i can see you are having a great time, i hope you get to do this again soon.
Wish trials were more common here. We may have to travel to do it again.
I think Pierre would enjoy this but Bentley would only chase a laser light! LOL! Great action shots!
We are not allowed to chase the laser dot anymore as it has gotten us into trouble during sports chasing reflections and stuff.
We think that Hachi would love that sport. He’d chase a plastic bag if he had the chance but we can’t find any events around here! You look fabulous, Bailie! You are SO fast that you can fly π
It seems to be hard to find anyone holding FastCAT events, but we are going to try to find some. It is much safer for the dogs than the circular lure coursing as the running in a circle can easily cause injuries.
