What are we up to now? Well, this is the first weekend of our six weekends of sports in a row. All of us have something going on at some point in the coming weeks. Today it is nose work camp. Bailie and I are headed up north as we have done for several years now. I’m in charge of packing. Since we never know what to expect from the weather, I have a big suitcase to pack a lot of stuff.
Bailie is in charge of meals. This is the first year we are bring our Dr. Harveys food which needs to be kept cold. We have two coolers and lots of ice packs. I think Bailie will do fine packing it since she loves to eat. Me, I might not do as well since I’m not big on eating.
After this weekend, we have a big AKC trial locally where Bailie and I are competing in Scent Work. The following weekend Olivia and I are at a Barn Hunt Trial. Bailie is taking a break from rats for now since she seems to have lost interest. The following weekend Bailie has three NACSW Nose Work Element Trials. Following that, Olivia and I have another Barn Hunt Trial weekend. Finally, we round up the streak with either me doing a Nose Work Trial, or Olivia doing a Tracking Test. She is going to try to get certified the end of the month, and if she does, then she has to hope she gets a spot in the test.
It’s been a wet week around here. We have over three inches of fresh rain, and it is getting down right tiring!
Camp will probably be a muddy mess, but we don’t mind as it is still fun. Olivia will be staying home because she is too young for camp. Mom is missing her and we haven’t even left yet. She will have fun, and definitely more fun than being kenneled at camp for three days! That is what we are up to, what are your plans? See you all Monday…or on social media on the weekend!
PS: It may be spooky at camp tonight being Friday the 13th and a full moon. Maybe we will howl for all the campers??? Did you know the next time there will be a full moon on Friday the 13th is 2049? I think we might miss that one!

Oh my dog! I hope you have a fun and productive weekend. I have to vent. My world has been topsy turvy this week. Mom had a ceiling leak in our bedroom and this past week it is getting repaired. We had to move out of our bedroom to the guest bedroom, but wait – we left our queen sized bed for the twin day bed. Kinda crowded with Mom, Puffin and me in that tiny bed. Today the ceiling is getting painted, but we are getting new carpet in “our” bedroom on Monday thus more nights in the crowded bed. Mom has not been sleeping as well as Puffin and me. Puffin and I got out through the gate yesterday – I ran around for a bit and came back home like the good girl that I am. Puffin took off down and across street. Oh my! Gave Mom quite a scare. It has been quite an ordeal here. We are going to have a rainy, soggy weekend here. XOXO, Sparkle
Oh dear. Mom would freak out if any of us took off on our own. We are all exhausted from the weekend. The camp bed is a small twin, and there is not enough room for Mom alone, let alone with Bailie. I had to sleep in my kennel on the floor as we are still working out getting back together safely. Mom is taking it very slowly. Hope your house is back together soon and you can get the big bed back.

I did some howling out the window at other campers, but Mom says that doesn’t count towards full moon howling.
Whew…we are tired just seeing all the things you all are up to!! We will be doing to major modeling this weekend…Mama has caught Autumn madness and is going through all our props to put together some Fall posts!

Mom says that work thing gets in the way, but she needs it for our lifestyle. We are going to have space issues on the office walls pretty soon I think.
