Bailie and Olivia were some happy hounds in the yard yesterday. The weekend was cold, blustery, wet, and even some snow came down from the sky! Monday was a gorgeous fall day, and we wanted to be out in the yard to enjoy it. Unfortunately, early in the day, I think I got to wild and hurt myself playing with Olivia. I was benched for the day to recover, but my sisters continued to enjoy the weather.
Olivia always loves to race around with the outdoor toys we have. You can see how much fun she is having in this photo.
Bailie enjoys sniffing around the yard. With all the wet weather there were some really good smells in the grass for her to evaluate.
There are two toys Olivia likes best outside, one is the Pup a Brewski, and the other is the Skamp. She actually will play some fetch with these toys, something Bailie and I would never think of doing.
While the little one ran circles around the yard, Bailie continued her sniffing mission. I guess there must have been a lot of critters in the yard over the weekend or something!
Even Olivia took a moment here and there to sit down and just enjoy the day. Sometimes Bailie will play with her, but it is nothing like when I’m out there to play, so she is more mellow if I’m not outside.

It is no fun being injured, but my leg is getting better. I have to keep resting I guess.

I still have a small limp, so no wild pants for me today, but it is much better.

Ah the smells of wet grass and Autumn! Wonderful photos! Rest up Madison, Olivia has reserve energy in store for you!! “Down south” here in Missouri we are besieged with chipmunks begging me to dig them out of their tunnels. I haven’t quite caught one yet, but is isn’t for my lack of enthusiasm digging up the yard to expose their tunnels. Dad is not amused.

We love chippers but we only find them in the woods up here. Squirrels are all over the place gathering food for winter, making us crazy!
Such fun and it sure beats that hot and icky weather sweet girls!

We all have been through that phase, but now we are looking to track critters that have passed through the yard.
It looks like a great time was had by all, with the exception of Madison straining something and having to sit out a while.
My limp is getting better. I just can’t be wild for a few days.
They are having some fun, but we think they need you out there to really motivate them, Madison! We hope you are feeling better soon. ♥

Olivia is always a happy puppy, and Bailie is happy when Olivia isn’t pestering her.
We had a beautiful Mon. And Tues. To spend outside. Playing and just laying on the driveway with Skylar chewing on sticks. We get rain and cold tomorrow.
We had more rain and gray weather yesterday, but it is supposed to be nicer starting later today.
We are still having summer weather, we are in ni hurry for fall to begin.
We are ready for winter, but for now we would just like the rain to stop and some sunshine to come out.
