Today I’m turning seven months old! Mom wanted to do some photos of me, so we decided to take my first trip to an apple orchard on Wednesday. I love to go anywhere, especially when it involves a car ride. Here I am all buckled in and ready to roll. Can you read my thoughts? Yep, I’m thinking, put down that camera and drive, lady!
There is a dog friendly orchard just ten minutes from out house. Applewood Orchard has lots of stuff for kids, and they also sell pumpkins. I guess the week before Halloween is a bit late to visit because they didn’t seem to have much left to sell. We had to be careful where we walked too because of all the rain, there was lots of mud.
Did you know Honeycrisp apples were developed right here in the Twin Cities? Of course, that apple had to be where I took my apple photo. I did sniff all the apples on the ground, but they didn’t really appeal to me, so I didn’t eat any of them.
There was also a pumpkin patch, but most of the pumpkins had already been picked and sold. That didn’t bother us at all since we already have our pumpkins at home. Mom gets stuff early because she doesn’t want to be stuck buying what no one else wants.
I got to sit on a wagon with straw bales for hay rides. I think they only do rides on the weekends when lots of families come to visit.
John Deere is my official first tractor. I’ve never been up close to such big wheels. At first I didn’t want to sit next to the tractor, but then I realized it wasn’t going to eat me alive, so I did it.
On the way out, we saw the bales with some pumpkins and stopped for one last photo. I’m used to being on bales from barn hunt, but there were no rats, only pumpkins. To celebrate me turning seven months old today, we have a really fun weekend planned. Stay tuned to Facebook and Instagram to see what we are up to. I’m sure we will post about it next week too.
For anyone wondering how I may have changed over seven months, the above photo was taken on the day I was born. Amazing! I was more like a fuzzy blob but I think I am turning out pretty well. I’m the one with the black dot on top of my head, and the arrow is pointing at me. Thanks to my breeder for the photo.
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
happy month-oversary!!! oh how interesting to see so many things the first time.. and next week is your furst howl o ween! wow!!!
So many firsts, it is almost tiring. Tonight is my first night in a hotel. So far I have been behaving like you guys doing naughty things!
She is stunning
Thank you. She is pretty good looking.
What a fun adventure for you, Olivia! Happy 7 months! I can’t believe you didn’t try an apple. They are so yummy! The Honeycrisp apples are always the most expensive in our grocery store.
I might try apples at home. I was too busy at the orchard to eat.
Happy 7 Months Birthday, Olivia! We really like your Honeycrisp apples. You had a wonderful field trip. XOXO, Sparkle
Now I’m on an even bigger trip for an entire weekend! Life is so much fun!
You are such a cutie! Happy 7 Months sweet Olivia!!!
Thank you, kitties!
You are a lovely girl Olivia. Benjamin would have eaten several of those apples – he loves some fruit! Zachary might have a bite or two….
I was too busy taking everything in to be eating anything.
Wow! I can’t believe you are already 7 months old. Time sure does fly but you have learned so much in such a short amount of time.
I know. Mom often forgets I’m still a young pup because I do so much with sports and stuff.
oh my she’s a big girl already!!!!! Happy 7 months!! xoxo
She is. We hope she doesn’t get any taller, just fill out a bit.
What a super trip to the apple farm, and you posed beautifully today Olivia. But I totally get why you might have been a bit apprehensive when you saw that ginormous tractor.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
PS Gail is going all “squeee” at that puppy photo.
Puppies do that squeee thing to humans a lot. The tractor was scary, but I did survive. Mom says it was a good experience.
It seems like just yesterday your Mama was bringing you home to meet your sisters…Happy 7 month Birthday Olivia…the apple orchard looks like the pawfect place to celebrate!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
It’s almost 5 months since I was brought home, crazy how time flies.
Happy 7 months old, Olivia. You sure were a little cutie pie when you were born. You still are too.
Have a woof woof day and weekend. My best to your mom. β₯
Thank you. Mom says I’m still adorable.
You are growing up so fast, Olivia, and turning into quite the little model! β₯
These days I often do better than my sisters.
You are now seven months of beautiful and brave!
She is a very good girl at 7 months, goofy too.
You’re so cute, Olivia and such a big girl alreadyπPawkisses for a Happy 7 MonthoversaryπΎπ½π
Thank you. I know I do a lot of stuff, and have grown pretty fast, but I’m definitely still a puppy.
You had a lot firsts in 7 months.
I sure have, and they just keep coming!
Happy belated 7mo birthday! You turned from a darling blob into a dashing debutante! Bales without rats aren’t as much fun, IWe suspect!
the Boys
No, they are quite boring, but that’s alright sometimes.
What a great birthday photoshoot! I hope you had lots of fun and special treats.
I got to take my first road trip, so that was super special.
Happy 7th Birthday! What a fun day.
