Fall leaves sure make for a lot of fun in the backyard. It’s taken a long time for our trees to grow enough to produce a lot of leaves. This year Mom could actually rake up some nice piles for us to play in, and we had a great time!
We don’t recommend playing in just any leaves as they can be dirty and have lots of bad stuff in them, but we know these leaves are fresh and from our own trees, so they are pretty safe. They also make a great place to hide toys in, or to track squirrels who must have run up the tree!
Our outdoor Pup-A-Brewski toy is getting a real workout this fall. It is Olivia’s toy, but I keep stealing it from her. Mom feels bad, so she buries it in the leaves to see who can find it. I enjoy diving right into that project!
Once I have it, it is time for a play bow to get Olivia to chase me. I really don’t care about the toy, I just love to chase and be chased.
I think Olivia is getting frustrated because I refuse to give up her toy. It won’t be long and she will over power me, but as long as I can still outsmart her, things will keep going my way.
Oh boy, Olivia is steamed as a clam! She walked away and decided to chomp on the tiny twig she found. I think she is giving me a really mean look.
Mom intervened and took the toy away from me, tossing it into the middle of the yard. Ready set go! Who will get it this time, the race is on!
Oh dear! Olivia actually beat me to it! She snatched it up and was off running! How can I get it back.
Back at the leaf pile I tried to get the toy back by instilling fear, but it didn’t seem to work real well. Olivia knows I’m all teeth and no bite.
No luck, Olivia had her toy, and she was not about to give it back to me, racing through the fall leaves with her toy is too much fun! The fall leaves are great! Do you enjoy playing in them at your house?

Adorable! π <3
Thank you.
It was fun to see you two enjoying yourselves so much!!
We spend tons of time out there romping in the leaves.
You have beautiful pearly, white teeth, Madison! I think you are falling down on your job as keep away queen! XOXO, Sparkle
My little sister is so big, it is hard to win!
I think I may soon run out of things to say here in the comments! On each visit we see photos more lovely … puppies more delightful … and get a little more “envious” about everything … sigh. Just keep on doing what you’re doing, it’s all so great! Thanks!
Oh, thank you so much. We just enjoy what we are doing, hopefully making people smile and laugh.
we wait for some days till da staff made a pile from all that leaves… and then we jump in and have fun!
We decimate the pile so fast, our servant has to keep raking up the leaves into more piles.
You guys really know how to have fun!
And Mom says all the cold fresh air wears us out. Lots of serious napping later in the day.
Oh so playful and fun fur persons photos in the autumn leaves ^_^
Happy Day to You,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
The red and orange leaves are so pretty, but all the colors are the same amount of fun.
Well Madison, I think you have finally met your match! Elbe outruns me as well now. We do enjoy the leaves – especially after dad has worked hard to rake them up and we crash his piles. HE is NOT amused!
Chablis
Mom raked them just for us, so it was not a problem. Olivia is getting so big and strong, but she still looks to me as her leader/big sister.
It looks like some pups had loads of fun playing in the autumn leaves. π I remember when I was a young kitten, I mean girl, I loved playing in the fallen leaves, too. I loved the sound walking in ankle height leaves made through the woods, too. Gosh, I miss those simpler carefree days of yesteryear! They go by so fast!
Our mom says she used to play for hours in the leaves as a kid which is why she is raking them in piles for us to have fun too.
It’s good that the mom knows what’s fun for you. You two were having the time of your lives. Awww and then some more Awww.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. My best to your thoughtful mom. β₯
She thought we would love some leaf piles and she was sure right!
What fun!!!
Tons of fun.
Playing in the leaves is lots of funβΊ
Plus they are full of good smells too, right?
It doesn’t get much better than crunchy leaves and fall hijinks!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
You got that right!
It’s me, Duncan. It looks like so much fun running into a pile of leaves and then running around the yard. I’m jealous. We’re not allowed to run around without a leash on the grounds if the buildings. Also the maintenance men rake them up very quickly. They care more about what the owners want than about how much fun all the pups would have running around in the leaves. Boo hiss.
We are super glad we have our own yard to do whatever we want to do with it.
That was fun! I love how those pictures told a story and the commentary was spot on!
Thank you. We love telling stories with our photos.
The leaf romping looks like a whole lot fo fun!
It is fun and great exercise too.
those leaves sure are fun but Mom isn’t loving how for some reason all of us are tracking them into the house this year, more than previous years!
My mom is raking more leaves in the house than out, but since we are having fun, she doesn’t mind the mess so much.
Look at you two girls romping in the leaves! And you look like you are your old self Madison! Hooray! Keep having fun–my brother likes to run like this, me too–most of the time! your friend Lilly
I’m pretty much my old stuff, but I still get scared sometimes of strangers and new places. Mom says it might go away in time.
Those leaves donβt even look real! They are so pretty. We donβt get those colors down here. I know the girls enjoy racing in them.
They are so fun and make such fun noises too.
Our leaves are still on the trees! It hasn’t been cold enough for most of them to change color and fall to the ground.
When we started to get hard frosts about two weeks ago, they all started to fall down.
What amazing photos, particularly that first one! We’ve passed the leaf stage, and our ground has its “forever” layer of snow (or until May). I’m glad that you girls had such fun in the leaves!
We will get snow tonight. We’ve had a few dustings, but they came and went. It’s too early for snow to stick around for long. Most of our leaves are down too.
Leaves are so much fun and so pretty for pictures.
We really love the bright orange and yellow leaves for photos.
Happy leaf playing, everyone, and please share!
We share pretty well, but not always.
