What a difference a spa day can make for a girl like me! To be honest, I dread going to the spa. Mom has to pretty much drag me from the car into the spa, but once I’m there, I do alright. This is a photo of me the day before going to the spa. She how shaggy I was. Mom says I look like one of the muppets.
Believe it or not, Mom just brushed my furs a couple days ago, but they are out of control again. I really need to get my coat stripped down, and washed up. We all go to the owner of the Fancy Paws spa for our grooming needs. She actually knows a GBGV breeder and sometimes texts photos of us to him to make sure she is grooming us correctly. We are super lucky to have found her. Most groomers have never seen a GBGV and don’t know what to do with our furs.
Here I am after my three and a half hours of torture. They gave me this snazzy bandana that is just my style, wild! Mom loves my soft furs and fancy look. It was snowing when I got home, so my furs have already gotten a bit wet. As much as I dislike getting all spiffed up, I have to admit it does feel pretty good!
Mom hates letting me out after I have a spa day because she doesn’t want me to get dirty, but I insisted on sniffing up the yard to see what went on when I was away. My furs even look soft in the photo!
My sisters have given me their sniff of approval, and also recommended that I roll in something to get that spa smell off of me. So far I have not complied. What do you all think? Can you see a difference in my before and after furs?
Although I’m not thrilled about getting all cleaned up, I am thankful my mom cares enough about us pups to make sure our furs are properly cared for, so I’m joining the Brian’s Home Blog Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
