The howliday decorations are done at our house. This year we didn’t do as much as other years since we have a puppy. All pups can get into trouble with decorations, but puppies are especially at risk for getting into a pickle, and it can be dangerous.
Mom started the process by bringing up our tree from the basement. We have not had a real tree as long as I have lived here. I guess it is just super messy, and not worth all the hassle. Because we like the smell of a real tree, Mom has pine tree spray for our fake one. Olivia was super curious about the tree right off the bat.
All our howliday decorations are stored in red/green plastic bins. Olivia and I started sniffing out all the ornaments for the tree. Since puppies are known to steal things, the bottom third of our tree doesn’t have any hanging ornaments this year.
Of course, Mom found the head gear for us all. Olivia got to start with the antlers. I don’t think she really enjoyed looking like a deer, even though Mom does often call her a dear.
Lucky for Olivia, Mom realized a month or so ago that she doesn’t have her own stocking. Each of us always has a stocking hanging for when Santa comes, so Mom contacted Claude. Claude was happy to make a stocking with orange for Olivia. She also received a name tag in red to use with other stockings we have.
The little one was pretty excited to get a present, even before Christmas. We have been telling her the presents come on Christmas, but this one was early for her. I guess she is pretty amazed Claude even knew her name and put it on her stocking!
Bailie wanted to make sure everyone knows there are different fabrics and designs for the bone stockings. I think last year, she chose to hang up her plaid stocking, but this year, she wanted her purple bow one. Bails also wants to let everyone know you can get 10% off your order this howliday season by using the promo code HOLIDAY10 on the Happy Claude website. If you have a kitty, Claude also makes fish stockings for the feline population.
This year, Mom just couldn’t hang up Katie and Emma’s stockings. Last year, Mom’s cousin gave her a beautiful Emma photo ornament. It is now hanging front and center on our tree. I think Emma would love it. It has the glam factor she so loved.
Just weeks before Emma passed away, she ordered some ornaments for a review. She chose this adorable one for Katie as she was so close to Katie her entire life. This one is also hanging in a prominent spot on our tree in lieu of a stocking.
Mom says I am the Christmas lover in the family. Every year since I was a little puppy, I love to sit under the tree, or near it and I stare at it. The decorations and lights are so beautiful, I can’t help but admire it for the few weeks we have it up each year.
I’m trying to get Olivia to love the tree like I do, but it doesn’t seem like that will happen. She is too big to go under it anyway. Being small, I fit really well.
That is about it for our decorations. The howliday decorations we put up are enough for us, and will be less to put away in a month too! Remember if your pet needs a stocking, or if you need a gift for a pet, check out Claude and the super cute pet stockings. Don’t forget to use HOLIDAY10 to get your discount! We get nothing if you order pet stockings, it is just something we are sharing because we love ours so much.
We are joining Comedy Plus for the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Your decorations are beautiful and so is your tree. You sure look very Christmas happy too!
I love Christmas more than anyone else at our house for some reason.
Wow! You pups sure know how to cute up the holidays! I love the head gear – have a great week all!
Thank you. Christmas always comes with a lot of head gear.
The tree looks lovely. Canβt wat to see it with all the presents under it. Girls- donβt forget something nice for Mom.
Normally we don’t put presents under the tree until it is time to open them because we might decide to open them on our own. Santa leaves them when we are sleeping, so those are safe.
Everything is so cute, but Bailie is a true trip!!! She is perfectly adorable in her headgear!! So funny how each dog we have has different likes and places to be. I’m glad you put up Emma and Katie on your tree – they are your angels and especially at Christmas, angels are all around us!
They are really our angels. Bailie is the family wild card. She can be really moody, extremely funny, super happy, really made, we never know what we will get, but Olivia and I are balanced at happy.
Mom is babysitting three days this week so we will decorate this weekend. Weβre celebrating Bentleyβs 12th birthday tomorrow!!
A dozen years old! Maybe get him an egg carton? Hope you have a big party and maybe let the kids help so they can drop lots of food on the floor for you to clean up.
You did a great job decorating. Love those ornaments of you too.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. My best to your peeps. β₯
Thank you. We are happy with how things turned out. Sorry for the comment mix up on your blog this morning. Something weird was going on and the hop and comments were not appearing but suddenly everything was there, so all ended good.
oh now santa can fill your own stocking Olivia, it is a super cute one!!! da nelly helped today with looking for the decorations… that means the mama has to go to the junk store, he caused such a mess LOL
Oh dear. We are very careful not to damage things at our house.
Looks like you’re all ready for a lovely holiday season! So festive!
We are ready now. Some more cold and snow would be all we still need.
Wow! You all did a great job decorating!

Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Thank you. It was a lot of work.
the head gear made me howl with laughter!
Wish we could have heard you howl!
Christmas is such a fun time of the year and you girls look adorable in your hats and antlers!
Thank you. We do our best to be festive.
such special Howladay memories. My mom is wondering what little Puffin will do to our tree even though it is up on a table. Mom has not really been into the spirit this year as she has a very BAD knee that is going to be replaced late in February. XOXO, Sparkle
Oh dear, your poor mom. Our gramma has a knee problem, but she doesn’t want it replaced. She can’t do much walking and doesn’t do much decorating anymore.
They told my mom the surgery was VERY painful, BUT her knee is so awful she was told her surgery may not be that bad. I takes good care of my mommy. Sparkle
Has she looked into stem cell treatments? We know of two people who have done that and it has been great.
It’s looking very festive there! Sometimes simple is better. I’ve had a smaller tree up on a table ever since we had our golden retrievers, who would steal and eat anything they could get their paws on!
I may have to get Luke a new personalized stocking, thanks for sharing about those.
We love all the stockings Claude has. Every year he comes up with new and different ones.
It looks like a festive holiday at your house!
We always enjoy this time of year with all the festivities and snow.
We are just starting to put up our tree, Aspen always goes in and goes around knocking things looking for Minx the cat. Skylar is trying to be good but at 6 mos. We don’t have a clue what she is going to do and everything is breakable we got it with Mica and Lexie and they never touched anything.
Tails can be like baseball bats with ornaments. I’ve heard when Mom first got our cats, Bert used to climb the tree and it made a huge mess. We are all pretty good about leaving it alone, but I am always going under it and making a mess of the tree skirt. Hope it works for you this year with Skylar.
Your decorations are as cute as you guys. Love the dog bone stockings!
Thank you. We are addicted to those stockings.
Beautiful and festive!
Thank you.
You gals are such great helpers. Beautiful stockings.
Where can I buy these stockings for my dogs? It is out of stock
I know Christmas Claud is also on Etsy, but he may not make them this time of year.
