What’s behind door number five? We are guessing it is the same flavor treats as doors one to four, but maybe a different shape or number of treats. Our Advent calendars are so much fun!
About a month ago, Mom brought home three Advent calendars from Aldi, one for each of us. Madison posted about them on our Facebook page in case any pet parents wanted to get them for their own pups or as gifts. Last year we got them at Trader Joes, but Mom had to call around because most stores were sold out.
It’s Olivia’s first Advent calendar, so it is especially exciting for her. Mom opens the door and takes the treats out of the wrapper and puts them back in the calendar for us.
Olivia doesn’t waste any time digging right in and munching down the tasty treats! After just two days, she learned what Advent calendar means, and she comes running!
Most days seem to have two round treats about the size of a quarter, but day four had only one larger square treat. The treats are salmon (from Scotland) and sweet potato, a super tasty combo!
Madison is not embarrassed to say, she wolfs hers down in a hurry. It’s a shame we only get a small amount each day, but they are worth waiting for.
I remembered this Advent game from last year. I may be six, but I have a sharp memory when it comes to food and eating!
Can you read my thoughts on the salmon/sweet potato treats? They are super yummy in my tummy! In case you are wondering, behind door number five will be more salmon and sweet potato treats, we just don’t know the shape or how many yet.
So, tell us, did you get an Advent calendar for your pup? Trader Joes had them again this year, but we like to change things up so we went with the Aldi one. Trader Joes even sells ones for cats! Gramma bought one for our cousin cat Bowie, and he is loving his treats each day too! The holiday season sure is a great time of year, isn’t it?
We are thankful for our Advent calendars, so we are joining the Brianβs Home Blog Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
That looks like a fun calendar, enjoy all! I love the photos today, everyone is just so darling.
Thank you. We can look real cute when treats are involved.
Those really are some special and yummy calendars and y’all are enjoying them. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Maybe you could get the kitty ones next year. Sophie doesn’t eat treats, and Bert is on a special diet, so they aren’t interested.
Sounds fun and yummy!
It sure is. We look forward to it every day.
Yes! Mom found us only ONE! We have to share which is a bummer! XOXO, Sparkle
What? Oh dear! I hope you get more being the older sister. At least many days seem to have two treats.
What a great idea! I did not know they had advents calendars for pets. I will get one for my Alex!! He loves his treats!!! Enjoy your goodies girls.
They sure do, but at this point, they are probably all gone. Keep it in mind for next year π
I’m glad that all three of you have your own calendar. Olivia has learned something new and she’s enjoying it so much. That makes the mom very happy too.
Have a woof woof Thankful Thursday. My best to your peeps. β₯
She is such a food hound, she is really in love with the calendar.
Those look like fun and the perfect excuse for Mom to check out the brand new Aldi. Sheβs never been in one!
Your mom has to get to Aldi asap. Remember, even if you don’t always see brand names, many items are the big brands with different labels, and the meats and produce are super good too! She will be addicted in no time.
I NEED an Advent calendar for next year! What fun!
Another fun activity for every day through Christmas. You deserve one.
You got treats with salmon from Scotland?
Lucky lucky you.
Now I’m going to send Gail out in search of one of those Advent calendars too.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
I know, salmon from Scotland! It is quite tasty too.
Thatβs so cool, I donβt do an advent calendar but I should. What fun.
It is something fun for us for a few weeks.
we had one of those along time ago, but we couldn’t get it away from that boy we had. He ate the one snack and tore the whole box apart to get the other ones. maybe boys are just more destructive? or prey driven?
We are pretty polite around our house, but don’t have any boys except Bert the cat and he is always naughty.
What fun! I have no doubt Luke would love one of these calendars, but we don’t have any of those fancy grocery stores around here! π
I guess it is the trade off of living in the country.
Mama picked some up for us at Trader Joe’s when she was ijn the Bay Area earlier in November…Although our box is different, the treats are also Salmon and Sweet potato…and we LOVE them!!
xoxo,
Jakey, Arty & Rosy
Aldi and Trader Joes are owned by the same family, so they do have the same guts but a different exterior.
That looks like a lot of fun, and i have not done an Advent calendar in a long time. Maybe next year, i will look for them early.
Next year, Mom is going to get one for herself too π
