We love the Whos from Whoville at our house. How the Grinch Stole Christmas is our favorite book during the howliday season. This year Olivia also fell in love with the story.
It is on TV at least once a year, and we enjoy watching it. Olivia watched it with our stuffed Max. She thought it was a bit sad and scary, but then by the end, she decided it is an awesome story!
The book has lots of pictures so even if a puppy can’t read, she can enjoy the book. Stuffie Max is such a friendly fellow, and he loves to hang out with us. Olivia felt terrible when he was supposed to pull that over full sled, but now she knows the story has a happy ending.
Why do we love this story so much? It is cute, but most of all, the Whos from Whoville remind us of the true meaning of Christmas. We are thankful for the reminder that Christmas is not about the gifts, it is about so much more. Are you a fan of the Grinch story too?
We are joining the Brianβs Home Blog Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Max is the hero in the story!! Happy Howlidays Girls!! Enjoy all of it. Mom is close to bring in break. We cannot wait!!!!
Lucky you guys! Our mom never gets a break or vacation, the joys of being self-employed she says. We are hoping it will at least slow down so we have time to do some fun stuff.
Gotta love the Who’s!
Mom says Madison is like little Cindy Lou Who.
Great book!
A great book for so many reasons.
I’m so happy Olivia is loving your traditions. That’s so important. Yes Christmas is so much more than presents under the tree.
Have a woof woof Thankful Thursday. My best to your peeps. β₯
So far Olivia seems to love everything in life, which is nice. We are all just happy to be together.
Who? Olivia & Madison. Whoville? Joy’s house! My father used to read us all the Dr Seuss books! even though we were older. He was a fabulous reader. Who stole Christmas? You girls!!! You wrapped it up in as a present for all of US!!!
Sounds like you have some of your father’s skills in story telling π Stories are great at any age, even the simple ones.
Oh, yes we are fans! Puffin got to watch it the other evening with us. I wanted to call animal control because of how Max got treated! In the end it is all good. XOXO, Sparkle
Yes, Olivia found it quite upsetting as well, but it does end well.
One thing is for sure … we are definitely a fan of Olivia! Happy Christmas to all of you!
She seems to be Miss Popularity, but who knows if that will hold when she is grown up? We are happy everyone loves her.
I’ve been watching that show since I was a kid. After all these years, I still get choked up at the end.
My mom can’t get enough of it, has to watch it every year at least once.
Yes, it has always been a favorite here too, since I was a kid, though I have to say it’s been a while since we watched it. Your stuffed Max is so cute, and a perfect puppy companion!
Mom always has it on when it is on TV, but she doesn’t sit down and fix on the TV, it just runs and she glances now and then.
Everyone has a favorite Christmas story, that one is a good one! Enjoy beautiful pups!
This is true. Everyone is different and that makes the world go round.
We love the Grinch too and Stuffie Max is sure cute!
Mom wants to put a huge antler on my head so I could be a Max, but I put my paw down and said, NO.
This story and the Peanuts Christmas special are my favorites!
We enjoy the Peanuts too since we are huge Snoopy fans, but the Grinch is our Christmas favorite.
We really like the Whos but that green Grinch is really somewhat scary! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
The Whos are some smart folks, but the Grinch can be scary.
Awww…you are such cuties.I love The Grinch. I just bought the dvd of the one that came out last Christmas.
It is a great story with a nice lesson to be learned.
Who doesn’t love the Grinch and Max, sweet Olivia. Lots of dogs with that name for that very reason, especially during the whole Christmas season. You two are beautiful and must be a joy to have around.
Thank you. We never thought about naming dogs Max after the Grinch story, but I bet you are right.
we love that story too!
It is a really good one, scary and good all in one.
We love the Grinch cartoon and Mom has a green sweatshirt with Max on it. She loves it and wears it proudly each Christmas season. HoHoHo!
I like that. One wouldn’t want a shirt with the Grinch on it unless you were not nice, but Max is a good pup.
One of my favorites, too, along with Charlie Brown’s Christmas!
We love anything Peanuts, but the Grinch is our winner at Christmastime.
OMG what sweet photos.
Thank you.
