Olivia and I have been catching some good air in the backyard this week. Mom got a new lens for the camera, so we offered to show off some of our fancy moves to see if she could catch them on film. Okay, not really on film but on disc sounds silly.
To get her started we began slow with a bit of hide and seek under the pine trees. I’ve been under these since I was a puppy. Unfortunately, Mom packed the area full of leaves, so it is hard for me to get under there. Olivia found me, and she stuck her tongue out at me! The nerve of her!
I had some fancy footwork going on one of my runs.
Olivia wins the best flyer award, paws down, or should I say up? That girl can fly like a bird!
She is also super happy as she creeps around the yard at a good speed. Holy Milkbones, she sure is long!
Because of Santa’s reindeer, she also attempted to create her own set of antlers. I must say, she did a good job on that!
Apparently, Olivia can also do turns while airborne. Look at those giant paws! They don’t even appear to slow her down one bit.
She loves to hop up and just fly. Mom says Olivia’s legs are like springs because she can jump so high from a standing position.
Don’t count me out, though. I may be short and not able to catch as much air, but I sure can fly right along with the rest of the world! In case you didn’t notice, yes, we do have a lot of fun during the day being out in our yard! Olivia and I have the most fun, but sometimes Bailie and Olivia also get pretty wild out in the yard! They were caught catching some air a couple weeks ago too.
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
Excellent!!!! Awesome photos! You girls CAN fly!!!!!!
We can fly so well, we might audition at the North Pole to be with the reindeer next year!
We love seeing you girls having so much fun in the snow, and your Mom got some great shots with her new lens!
She is learning to use the lens but we move so fast, it is hard to capture us sometimes. It is getting better as she learns how to best use the lens.
I love the flying pictures.
Thank you. We do too.
That really is some pretty fancy flying you two!
I bet you kitties fly in the house sometimes too?
Such fun you’re all having too. Great action shots.
Have a woof woof day and weekend. My best to your wonderful mom. β₯
Fun is our middle name around here. Happy weekend to you and hubby.
OMDs Olivia you must have had an excellent launching pad for that perfect airborne move. Emma you might be short but you have some mighty fine flying ears. Your acrobatics made me smile and mom and her new camera lens are quick to catch them
Hugs Cecilia
Mom is working on the capturing part, and we are enjoying being the subjects.
WOW! Your mom got absolutely fantastic shots. I have to say your picture wins, Madison….thumbs up (or should I say ears up?) XOXO, Sparkle
I think ears up. When I fly, I go all out!
What great photos! You girls are so lucky to have beautiful snow!
Our snow is getting old and thin, and we need a fresh load but they are talking about rain. Yuck! Hoping it gets colder and stays snow.
Beautiful pictures, girls! We love to run around too, although we don’t have any snow.
We do the same racing in the grass, but snow is sometimes more fun and we don’t get so hot!
WOW!!! You girls “fly through the air with the greatest of ease”! Tell your Mom I baked the dog cookies with the bacon fat and my Alex loves them!!!!! They were so easy to make. (Also baked 12 different kinds of cookies and 4 loaves of Stollen – my kitchen looked like a bakery. I share the cookies with family, friends and coworkers)
How fun to do so much baking. We know our neighbor dog friends all liked the bacon cookies too. Sounds like you had a wonderful time in the kitchen. Mom likes to bake too when she has the time.
If we had to walk through all of that snow, we’d learn to fly too! BOL!
LOL! It is easier if you are going fast.
Wowsers, you gals really CAN fly!!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
I’m copying the reindeer!
Thatβs an exuberance for life there!
We definitely have a lot of that around here.
Looks like y’all had fun!
We do love to play in the snow.
Oh my these are PAWESOME!! Flying woofies everywhere! I would say it was cause of the lens but I won’t say that because your Mom’s photos are ALWAYS pawesome!
Thank you. She needed a telephoto lens for the full frame DSLR she bought last year, and this is what it can do.
Your new lens is fabulous! I love your photos in this post. I can tell how much fun you’re having with it!!!!
I’ve been thinking about it for over a year now, and I am so happy I made the leap and got it. It’s amazing how nice it is to work with, but I still have a lot to learn.
