The highlights of 2019 are what we are looking back on today, December 31st. It was a busy year again, with lots of fun and exciting happenings. We will only hit on some of them today, but they are all documented on our blog.
January
January 2019 was pretty uneventful. The only real information we have is that it was cold and snowy, which we love.
February
We had record snowfall for February in 2019, and we loved it!
Mom also got around to ordering Emma’s memory box. We put so many things in there, and keep it in the living room where we spend a lot of time.
March
March meant a blog overhaul. It was time for a new look after quite a few years of the same theme. One improvement we really love is the larger photo size.
We cleaned up at the Scent Work Trial in Sioux Falls. Bailie really did well.
My Iowa nose work trial was in the town where John Wayne was born, so I got my title and we visited his birthplace.
By far the most exciting moment in March was the birth of Olivia, Ethos Loving The Northland on the 25th. She is the fourth one from the left.
April
In April I did my first NW3 Trial and only missed one hide. Mom and I were pretty happy with that.
Emma received the Legacy Award from the GBGVCA for her promotion of our breed during her life. Mom flew down to Atlanta for a day to accept the award.
May
In May, Bailie finished her Advanced Scent Work Title. She seems to do really well in Scent Work, better than in Nose Work.
The biggest event was picking up our new sister Olivia in Missouri at our breeder’s place.
June
In June, Bailie turned six! Where do the years go so fast?
I earned my first Masters Barn Hunt leg.
Bailie tried FastCAT for the first time and loved it!
July
Finally, I decided to retire from agility because I just didn’t enjoy it very much. I had some good times, and two titles, but that was plenty for me.
Olivia took a stab at the indoor pool and dock diving, but it really isn’t her thing.
August
In August I turned three.
I also earned my L1C and L1I titles in Nose Work.
Olivia graduated from Puppy Einstein class.
September
This month, Olivia earned her tracking certification. Thank goodness it doesn’t expire for two years as tests are few and far between.
Bailie and I earned some Scent Work Titles to add to our collections.
October
Olivia and I worked on Barn Hunt in October. I earned my second Masters leg, and she earned her first title, RATN.
Bailie did some Nose Work element trials and really surprised Mom by earning her L2I, Level 2 Interior Title on the first try! She failed vehicles miserably, but on the Zamboni search, she was the fastest of all the dogs which is amazing as we are not normally all that fast.
Later in the month we went to Iowa for Scent Work and brought home a ton of bling! Olivia even earned a high in class!
November
In November, Olivia continued on her roll earning her CGC title and she completed beginner obedience.
She also passed two of her three odor recognition tests.
We traveled to Sioux Falls for Scent Work and Olivia earned two more Scent Work Titles.
December
Olivia finished her third ORT test so she is done with that.
I ended the year with a new Barn Hunt Title, more on that Thursday! This rat is just part of what I won with my new title. Isn’t he cute?
Those are the highlights of 2019 for us. Have a safe New Year’s Eve! See you all next year!
We are happy, so weβre joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
Olivia has had a busy first year!! And so have you and Bailie! Mom loves that picture of Bailie in Fastcat! What a happy face!! All the pictures are awesome. What a busy year! competitions, titles and a puppy! What will 2020 bring!!?? Happy New Year friends! βseeβ you next year! your friend Lilly
We are hoping for more sports titles, but we will see. Bailie is still chasing leaves and trash down the road, so it is natural for her to chase the lure in FastCAT. Hopefully she can do some more in 2020. You all stay safe and Happy New Year’s Eve.
You gals were certainly busy. It was so much fun to read about all the adventures. Donβt party to much tonight.
We will go to bed early, but Mom will be up with Bailie because she is so scared of fireworks. Wish they were still illegal. Enjoy your New Year’s Eve!
You’ve had a wonderful year and Miss Olivia is fitting in very nicely.
Love Emma’s Memory Box. We have one for our Little Bit.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday.

Happy New Year’s Eve. Stay safe and enjoy!
That was a nice look back and all of those ribbons are so amazing!
It is pretty amazing how well we did as we were thinking it wasn’t as big of a year, but it was.
You gals have had a fun filled year. Congrats on all your accomplishments and for bringing Olivia into your lives. I hope it all continues into the next year. Have a great new year.
I ended the year with a big score, so hopefully it will keep on going for me and my sisters.
Pawsome – what a tremendous review. All I can say is that it was a Happy OLD Year! XOXO, Sparkle
2019 was pretty good to us. Happy New Year to you, your mom, and sister.
Happy, healthy New Year to you all!
Thank you. Happy New Year’s Eve to you all as well.
You girls have had a very busy year and making the most of it and Olivia, you were just the most adorable puppy. We hope you have a happy, healthy and safe 2020!
We sure hope 2020 is a wonderful year and we all stay healthy and safe. Happy New Year’s Eve to you and your mom too!
What a fun, busy year!!! Love the lookbacks!
There was so much, it was hard to narrow it down, but we did our best.
What a busy and productive year! You are some beautiful and talented pups! Happy New Year all!
Thank you. We do love our sports and sometimes we are pretty good too π Happy New Year’s Eve!
As Sandee said, Olivia really is fitting in perfectly with your family. What a year you’ve had! We can’t wait to see what successes 2020 brings for your family. β₯
She is a really great fit and we are all enjoying watching her grow and learn.
Such a full and wonderful year. Yes, it had challenges, but you have all come so far to overcome them, i pray 2020 will bring blessings and many more good things.
Life is always changing and developing and we embrace it all as we continue to figure things out.
What a wonderful yearly round up! We have to say adding Olivia to the pack must have been the highlight of the year!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Olivia was the highlight of the year, and she continues to be such a bright star in our family.
You have a lot accomplished, sweeties, but can’t help to have a little tear for angel Emma. Soft Pawkisses for now…and see you in a minute in the new year…πΎπ½π
2019 was a great year for all of us, but Mom still tears up over Emma at least once a day, just out of the blue. It has been a huge loss, but mostly for her. She misses her all the time.
We’re looking forward to seeing more pawsome adventures in 2020! Happy New Year.
Hopefully we will have some good ones this year! Happy New Year!
We have loved spending another year with y’all! Happy 2020!
We miss seeing you guys but one day is better than no day π Happy New Year!
Thanks so much for helping me get caught up with you girls. Love that “fast cat” track – Jaxson could truly get behind that one! Happy New Year, I’m still working on my year in review!
It’s tough figuring out all the things that went on in a year and which ones to highlight. FastCAT is an up and coming sport. It is hard to find trials, but in our area, there are more and more as so many people want to do it with their dogs. No training is needed. You should search the AKC event page to see if they have any around your home.
