Are we snowbound hounds? I’m not sure, but I think we might be. A good friend of ours sent us a BarkBox because she said it would be perfect for the three of us. Boy is she ever right! This toy I have here is the family favorite but the other toy and the treats are good too.
Our friend sent us a BarkBox. We don’t subscribe to any boxes because we have plenty of toys and treats already, but once and a while such a box is fun. Olivia got one when she was a young pup, and she really enjoyed it, and still plays with those toys.
The toy in the box is a two piece snowman. The bottom is a crinkle toy and good for tug a war, the head squeaks and holds treats.
Snowman Peepers are the treats in the box. They are made to fit into the holes in the snowman’s head. Blueberry is the flavor, they contain charcoal and vanilla, and are made in the USA. Both Olivia and I love the way the peepers taste too.
Mom put the treats into the holes in the snowman head and we tried to figure out how in the world we could get them out. It was a tough task, but I guess that is a good thing.
Once we got the treats out of the head, it was time to test it for play. I love a good squeaker, and this head squeaks nicely. It does get slippery and I kept dropping it.
The puppy side of Olivia went crazy with the head. She too found it slippery and ended up dropping it several times.
Not being one to give up, she found it better to tackle and play with the head piece using it more like a soccer ball.
Since there are multiple dogs and the favorite toy in the crinkle bottom half of the snowman, keep away became the game of the day.
Madison checked out the crinkle toy, but she isn’t a big toy hound. Most of the time if she has a toy, it is too keep Olivia from having it.
Olivia got the toy back and took off racing around the yard with it. She loves to run with toys and hopes one of us will chase her. I guess snowbound hounds all have some way to blow off extra energy!
Madison is having trouble running in the snow with her short legs because of the crust on top, but she doesn’t give up. She was letting Olivia know that she wanted the toy back.
Olivia is pretty fearless. She ignored Madison, and kept on racing and racing all around the yard with the toy.
Finally Olivia stopped and left the toy unattended. Madison swooped in and took it back. No, she didn’t play with it, she just guarded it.
These snowbound hounds are so happy with our gift! Thank you so much, Jan and the pups! We sure are having a fun time with this box that seems to have been made just for us!
We are happy, so weβre joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
A wonderful gift to romp in the snow with. Great actions shots as always. This post made me smile, but all of your posts do.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to the pups. β₯
We love to be a happy place for people to visit π Happy Tuesday!
we love that toy! it is super fabulous! we have no snow, but we would even like that cold stuff if we will get such a toy too LOL
I bet you would forget all about how cold you were. I think your types need a coat in the winter here.
That is such a wonderful gift and we enjoyed seeing the joy of snow play!
The ideal gift for us winter hounds.
Super toy!
We are having lots of fun with it.
ok you girls are having some serious fun!! Mom signed my brother up for a pup box. It is fun when it arrives — but you’re right — we have a lot of toys already!! We loved this post — the pictures are awesome! Keep enjoying your snowbound-ness!! have a good day your friend Lilly
We find these kinds of things better when they arrive randomly so they are not planned. More toys are always good, but we only need them now and then. Hope Chester enjoys his box.
Oh what fun it is to play the game of keep away! You are super lucky to have friends like that! XOXO, Sparkle
It was a nice surprise and the perfect gift for us.
Bark Box what a fun surprise full of tasty and great entertainment.
I might be just an itty bitty bit jealous of that Snowman. OMDs….
Yes Mia and Frisco are great friends. Frisco was adopted from the local shelter. They guessed his age as 1 to 1 1/2 years.
Two months later Mia was adopted from the same shelter. Her age was estimated at 3 to 4 years. They got along beautifully from the first meow. Just pure magic. We think they both realized their luck had changed for the better. Mia rules the roost and the humans and Frisco know this. Such a Tortie-tude.
Hugs Cecilia
Our kitties were both adopted together from the shelter, Bert is probably 2 – 3 years older than Sophie. They exist in the same house, sometimes squabble, but are not friends at all.
How fun! We haven’t seen any of those toys before! You girls seem to really enjoy them. Please sen them to our house when you get bored with them. Chablis and Elbe (aka LB – my birth name)
That looks like a fun toy and anything that holds treats is my idea of a bestest toy!
It was tough to get the treats out of the ball, but we did manage.
You girls sure know how to have fun!
We love to have a good time, any time!
That looks like so much fun! The snow and the toy! I used to get BarkBox but for some reason the toys always ended up with holes in them so Mommy stopped the boxes from coming altogether. She’s a party pooper. Thanks for stopping by our blog today! I’m almost two years old so get to play the puppy card for awhile yet. Besides, it’s fun to drive Mommy bonkers! It’s a short trip most days. BOL!

We have so many toys, we don’t subscribe to any boxes, but once and a while, they are fun to get. Enjoy being a puppy. Our Olivia is 10 months old, so almost one.
We also had a blast with this month’s Bark Box Snow-dude….Rosy got a little stingy with the face treats tho BOL!
You all have the perfect place to really enjoy that little snowdude!!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
He is fun, but the bottom half is the bestest! Enjoy!
We don’t get them much anymore either, but those boxes are always fun. It definitely looks like that toy was a huge hit, and we love seeing you girls have so much fun!
Even if you have a bizillion toys, new ones are always more fun.
What FUN!!!! It must be a great treat every now and then. Great photos – and great snow!!
It is a lot of fun. We haven’t had any “boxes” in a while. The entire thing is just made for us!
I’m so glad that the girls liked the BarkBox. My neighbors gave me a coupon for a free BarkBox.and I decided to take a six month subscription. Duncan loves the treats and gobbles them up. I wish he loved the toys as much. The snowman’s head didn’t squeak so he wasn’t interested. He’s obsessed with any toy that squeaks and ignores all others. I can only hope that the toys for the next months squeaks.
The head does squeak, but it is hard to make it squeak. Bailie, our squeaker expert and larger pup is the only one who can make it squeak.
My brothers dog got that toy too in her bark box. She loves it!!
I think it was the January box for everyone.
It looks like it would be fun to get one of those on occasion, but as you noted, so often there are plenty of toys in the house already, so a box each month would be overkill.
Sometimes less is more. It makes things feel special.
Have fun in the snow!
We need some more snow and cold weather because it is all melting away. It is not a good winter this year.
