Cool places to go sniffing are always on the top of things we are thankful for. Last weekend, Olivia and I got to go to a Mock trial for each of our nose work levels. It was held up in Anoka at a disaster preparedness center.
The people here head out when disaster strikes. One of the trailers in the building was to help out dogs. I actually got to sniff around it in my vehicle search.
Olivia got to search this cool car type vehicle. She was on fire in her mock trial. She had this car and a trailer to search for one hide in three minutes. The little one found the hide in 36 seconds!
Here is another interesting trailer that I got to search. I did find a hide on it too.
These were Olivia’s containers to search. Mom was happy about it because she hates it when they are in an X. She prefers rows or a circle. Olivia went down one side, crossed over to go down the other side and found the hide, also in about a half minute. Her nose was in overdrive!
This area is where Olivia had her first search. She flew around like a tornado and found the hide in 37 seconds! When you think she is ten months old and looking for a QTip with odor on it somewhere in all that stuff, it is pretty amazing. She is doing very well with her sports.
Cool places to go sniffing are tough to find, but this big area was home to several searches that day, and it was a lot of fun sniffing all that stuff. It wasn’t my best day, but I did have a lot of fun!
We are joining the Brianβs Home Blog Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
37 seconds Olivia!!!!! that is faster than a lightning can be!!!
Mom was quite impressed as it was a pretty complicated area.
Olivia, you are amazing! Madison, keep on keeping on. Pawsome place to search. XOXO, Sparkle
Mom is super proud of me for where I am at for my age and because she taught me herself.
That does look like a really cool place and wow Olivia, you go girl!!! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Loads of cool stuff to see and sniff.
It sounds like fun to get some practice, with no pressure. Olivia is going to be a star!
We have high hopes for Olivia, but the main thing is that she just loves her sports.
You’re a superstar now and you’re really going to be a superstar later. You’ve got what it takes.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to the pups and my best to the mom. β₯
We sure hope she will be a star, but if not, she is having fun.
Wowza! How amazing is that little sister of yours! 36 seconds? How does your mom keep up — she must be running behind her! And it sounds like you enjoyed yourself too! What a great spot to search in. Cool pictures. Do you girls practice at home sometimes? Put boxes around the back yard! Nice work! Great post. your friend Lilly
We do practice at home with boxes, or we go places to sniff, sometimes in our own yard, just about anywhere.
You need to change her name to speedy.
She is pretty fast and very accurate.
You are an amazing girl, Olivia. You truly are!
Mom is super excited about how well Olivia is doing.
Very impressive Olivia!
Thank you.
What a cool place to sniff around…in fact, how cool that the AKC has a department that is designated just for Pet Disaster Relief!
