Best Western Plus is the hotel we stayed at last weekend when we went to Lockport, IL for Madison’s nose work trial. We have never stayed at one before, but the trial host recommended it and offered a discount too. We get nothing for posting about it, and just want our friends to know about another dog friendly hotel.
I was actually rather tired out from the seven hours in the car, but Olivia still had plenty of energy when we checked in. Right off the bat, she found out there were treats at the front desk, and she made sure we got some!
As we walked into our room, we found the heart made out of towels on the bed. As we always do, we jumped up to test out the bed right away! Mom wanted a photo of us with the heart, so we obliged.
What do you think of Mom’s new luggage tag? Gramma gave it to her for Christmas. This is the first trip since then, so we were excited to have it on her piece of luggage!
We bring our own food when we travel, but Mom usually gets some breakfast downstairs at the buffet hotels set up. She said it was a good one with several things she enjoys eating. While she was out of the room, we starting some wrestling on the bed.
No place in the world is too cramped for a good game of bitey face. The bed makes a real good spot because it is nice and soft.
Our room was nice sized, clean, and even had a shower! After Mom got ready for the day, Olivia also felt the need to shower. For some reason, she couldn’t make the water work. It is probably a good thing or we would have had serious wet puppy smell in the car all day!
If you are looking for a dog friendly hotel, check out Best Western Plus. There is no pet fee, and they were very nice to us when we were there!
We are joining the Brianβs Home Blog Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
wow that hotel is a super place to stay with pups!! and we love the luggage tag… is is 100% true!!!
Mom loves the luggage tag too!
It sure looks like you were enjoying yourselves and were comfy cosy there – thanks for the info on this hotel!
It is a good place to go with pets.
You do make yourselves at home just as Puffin and I would! The heart on the bed was special. I would give your hotel a 2 paws up. We will not be online tomorrow ’cause my mommy is having her new knee procedure. I keep telling Puffin she needs to be gentle with Mommy, but she is a real fireball! XOXO, Sparkle
We wish your mom a good surgery and a speedy recovery. Hope it all goes well, and you two will need to give lots of cuddles for a while.
That looks like a great place to stay, and you girls really tested out every aspect of that room! π
We sure did!
How wonderful to find such a welcoming place to stay, it sure does look nice. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
More pet friendly hotels to add to our list is great!
Looks like a nice place to stay.
It was pretty nice for a pet friendly hotel.
Being able to have your babies with you is a good thing. We loved it when we could take our Little Bit with us. We were all far happier being together than not.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your mom. β₯
You are 100% right about that!
Your luggage tag should read All I need is love from…
We are just happy with anything GBGV as it is nearly impossible to find!
I have never stayed in a hotel before. You girls are so lucky!
We kind of like hotels for something different. Being quiet is the hard part.
We always test the bed out right away too! Thanks for the great review, we are having Mama add Best Western Plus to our “Pet Friendly” hotel list!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
We thought about you guys when we did this post. The bed is important, so we have to check it out first.
How wonderful! Many more hotels used to be pet friendly, then for some reason that changed, itβs nice to see the pendulum swing back.
It seems that there are several chains, but lots of them charge pet fees too.
Always looking for dog friendly hotels/motels – especially ones that feed humans in the morning. Thanks!
Most do feed the humans π
Thank you for sharing – we always like learning about friendly places to stay.
It’s always good to have several places in mind in case your favorites are not in the town where you need to be.
Wow, you guys are living the vida loca! It looks like you’re enjoying yourselves. We felines, on the other hand, are not so enthralled with traveling.

Alberto
Cats don’t travel as well as dogs, but you kitties might like the hotel room, just not the car ride.
Nice to know about the hotel and yes love the new luggage tag!
The luggage tag is awesome!
