Goodbye snow! We sure are going to miss you, but we are looking forward, and hoping for some good spring snowstorms in our future. The snow we had is melting so very fast, and is practically all gone now.
This weekend it will be sixty, which we find disgusting for this time of year. Since we knew ahead of time, we spent some extra time out in the yard enjoying our snow. Bailie was tracking the critters as she always does.
Olivia thought she would just stand there and look cute for a photo.
Of course, Olivia and I had to do some wrestling and chasing around. I love the fear in her eyes in this shot.
Bailie has really taken Olivia under her wing with how to properly sniff out critters. Olivia loves tracking the scents alone or with Bailie.
The snow is all mushy now, and it flies up as we race through it. See all the grass. It is so ugly and dead looking.
Bailie also likes to stand around looking pretty. She really looks nice in the snow.
It’s Friday, so I’m racing towards the weekend, flying around the yard as I love to do! Keep your paws crossed that we find more snow and cold in the coming weeks, but we have a feeling that won’t happen! Goodby snow, til next time!
We’re joining Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard for their Nature Friday blog hop.
Oh my stars I though picture #4 that was so adorable…then I saw the synchronized tail photos..I can almost see them ever so slightly wagging with glee. You have thoroughly made use of every moment you had with your snow
Hugs Cecilia
We sure have. It is snow much fun!
Did the groundhog predict an early spring? It would be amazing to think he was actually right for once! It looks about the same here. We’re going to have a colder weekend though, but I imagine that warmer weather you’re going to get will arrive this week.
Enjoy it while it lasts, girls! I wouldn’t be surprised if we still saw a spring snowstorm though, so keep your paws crossed.
We are hoping for a huge storm, but have a feeling it won’t happen.
I hope you get a nice blast of romping snow soon sweeties!
We sure do too.
I think there is one more good storm coming our way. March always is the worst, or best month, for snow.
March and April are both snow months, but first it has to get cold again.
Hope you guys get a little more snow this month. It is way too early for spring!
It is way too early for this mess.
I know how much fun you’ve all had romping in the snow this winter. I’ve sure enjoyed your antics all winter.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. My best to your peeps. β₯
We sure hope we get another load or two to play in.
I hope you and I both get snow again before winter ends! Beautiful photos, girls!
We wish it for you too!
We sure hope your snow gets replenished a few more times before Spring arrives!!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
This weather is just disgusting this time of year.Paws crossed for a snowstorm, soon!
We never know how long snow will hang around in Colorado. We have had it as late as Mother’s Day 2015-2016.
We get it in May here too, but this year has been so warm most of the time, we fear we may not get anymore snow.
I can’t remember when we last had snow on the ground here….I was just telling my daughter I would probably retire to Maine and my Son-in-Law asked why. Because I like the cold. I will be sad to see it go. I just hope we have a long, cool spring. I want to sleep with my windows open and not use the air or heat.
Last summer was cool almost the entire time. We also had lots of rain. Only used the sprinklers on the lawn twice and rarely had a/c on. Sleeping with the windows open is so nice. This winter was truly a dud. We had snow, but every 2 weeks or so it would be too warm so it got all icy. Can’t have it great every year, but we really love the cold and snow.
You gals always enjoy the snow. You can have it. I like the sun and warmth with no snow.
If this keeps up, we may need to move to Antarctica!
We don’t have a lot of experience with snow but know the worst part is the sloshing melting mess. Hoping you don’t have to get a bath because of it. That’d be unfair.
Right now there is no point to a bath because we keep getting dirty and wet every time we go outside.
Happy, snowy spring!
We are hoping, but it isn’t looking good!
They’re so lovely!
