My first six months of puppyhood flew by! I spent two thirds of them with my current family. They gave me so many firsts and great new experiences. Today I have just a few of the highlights from those months.
Days after arriving at my new home I got to go to see the vet. They all loved me, and I really enjoyed it! My sisters told me I was nuts because they are both scared of the vet, but actually, I still enjoy going there.
At eleven weeks old, Mom took me out to start learning to model for her. It takes a lot of patience to get a puppy to sit still, but I did a pretty good job for my first official photo shoot.
Mom started me working on nose work the day after we got home, but two weeks later I got to go with my sisters to barn hunt practice. It was Olivia meets rat in a tube! Who knew I would be so good at hunting rats several months later?
Bailie turned six on June 17th. That was my first time ever at a birthday party. I was not real impressed with wearing a hat, but I did keep it on for a few minutes for a photo.
The fourth of July was my first big holiday. I wanted no part of wearing weird stuff on my head and face. My sisters couldn’t believe I wouldn’t cooperate. I think this year I will do much better.
Mom had me start tracking at ten weeks old. In July, she took me to track in tall grass for the first time. Tracking anywhere is super fun, but I really love the tall grass, and I am always proud when I find that glove.
Time to try some swimming. Mom took me to the pool twice in July to learn about swimming in a pool. It is very different from swimming in a pond or lake. Since I didn’t love it, we decided to skip the sport of dock diving.
In August, I graduated from my Puppy Einstein class. It was my first real accomplishment. Amazingly, I was pretty much the most obedient puppy in the class!
Just before turning six months old, I passed my tracking certification test. It was a proud moment for me. One day I will get into a tracking test and get my TD title, I know it!
I turned six months old on September 25th, and right after that I was entered in my first Barn Hunt trial. I was only able to get one Q on that weekend, but it was a good experience for me and I had a really good time.
This is me at my six month photo shoot. Stay tuned on Monday for my next six months of firsts!
She really is a special puppy!
Mom tells me all the time I’m a very special girl.
What an awesome puppy!
Thank you. My sisters say I’m an overachiever type.
So many happy times already sweet Olivia!
So many big things I have done and seen, but now it is all stopped for a bit. Can’t wait to get back to competing.
What an incredible 1st six months! You will always amaze me, Olivia! You have Puffin beat with everything you do! XOXO, Sparkle
Don’t worry Puffin. I have all my sisters beat combined I think.
A great six months of firsts.
Just hope I can get back to my fun stuff soon
It’s been fun watching your grow and thrive. You’re an amazing pup. I’ve got my singing voice all ready to sing Happy Birthday on the 25th.
Have a woof woof day and weekend. My best to your siblings and your peeps. β₯
Oh, it will be so much fun having a birthday party. I can hardly stay in my furs I’m so excited.
What a fun trip down memory lane! Olivia, you are a gem!
Thank you.
You are a smart girl, Olivia, and we are amazed at your accomplishments at such a young age!
I had a busy first year, but now with the virus everything has stopped. Hope we can get back to fun soon.
What fun to look back and see how far you have come!
I have grown up a lot, but I’m still a pretty silly puppy!
You really hit the ground running, Olivia! π
Once I figured out how to stand up, there has been no stopping me.
What a sweet, smart girl you are Olivia! We’ve enjoyed watching you grow and learn. Keep it coming!
The only thing stopping me is this stupid virus. Hope it goes away soon so we can get back to our fun.
What an exciting first six months you had Olivia!!

I’ve gotten to do and see a lot for my age.
Wow!! You are a busy puppy! We loved this wrap upβ Mom said βthose girls have an awesome mom who really makes things happen!β Mom said she is always inspired by her. Have a good day. your friends Lilly and Chester
Until a week ago, we were super busy all the time, but now with all our sports cancelled, things are slowing down. Hopefully this virus will pass by soon and we can all get back to normal. For now be happy to be home with your mom, stay safe, and remember dogs need social distancing too.
We think you are a pup prodigy! You’ll be a champion in now time at all.
We are just bummed dog sports are cancelled indefinitely. Our calendar was full of events but now we are just home. I guess we will practice and be satisfied with that.
Pawtacular!
From one Olivia to anotherπΎππΎ
Olivias are the best right?
What an amazing first 6 months! You are already having an incredible life!
The plan was to really ramp up competitions when I turned one and can participate in everything, but now all trials are called off for the next two months. We sure hope things blow over so we can get back to our fun.
