My first birthday party festivities were Grand! I wanted to invite a few hundred of my closest friends, but the government said ten or less, so I went with just my family. The only hard part was the waiting to get to eat my birthday cookie. It took so long to get things ready I nearly died!
Mom did a good job of planning ahead, even though she had no idea the virus thing would change life so much. We had everything we needed in plenty of time for my party. Mom got me my own special party hat. She ordered up some cookies instead of cake, plus some party favor cookies for my sisters. Lastly, I got a really fun squeaky bone toy for my birthday gift. I also got a new antler, but we didn’t get a photo of it.
I headed into the dining room for my party. This is the first dog party Mom has ever had in the house. Every dog she has had was born in summery months.
Because it was my birthday, I got the big birthday cookie. My sisters got the little ice cream cone cookies.
We started to dig in after my sisters howled a round of Happy Birthday To You. Bailie was being extra obedient and didn’t even start to eat.
I contemplated eating my cookie on the floor. The plate thing is new to me and I’m not sure I like it.
Bailie finally did eat her cookie and from the looks of her smile, it was pretty tasty. The cookies are peanut butter with honey, and the frosting is yogurt and carob.
Madison seems to also like the taste, or at least her tongue sure does! It’s rare to see her so into anything in the food category.
I wanted to eat my cake by Madison, and was secretly trying to steal some of her cookie. Madison is pretty easy to steal from, but I know Bailie would kill me if I tried to take her cookie.
My guests headed to the living room to open my present, but I had to stay to clean the table. Mom was quite shocked when she saw me up on the table!
There’s no way I’m letting any of the tasty crumbs go to waste! I’m a real foodie hound.
After I finished my cleaning duties, I got my present. Isn’t it a cute squeaky bone? I just love it, and it is my color too.
The first birthday party festivities had my furs in a bit of a mess, but I was enjoying playing with my new toy. It says happy birthday on one side and pawty all day long on the other side.
Having a birthday can be tiring, so I decided to lie down and just squeak my new toy for a while. Thanks for coming by to join in my party. I had such a great day, and now I am one. The only way I could get more than ten to attend my party was to put up a post. Thank dog for the internet!

Thank you for joining. It was fun.
What an awesome pawty with yummy birthday cookies and fun toys, Olivia! Your first photo cracked us up with your chin in your plate waiting and the picture of you up on the table – OMD, our antique table would have collapsed if I ever tried that stuntβΊ
LOL! Our table is a bit wobbly, but I didn’t put too much pressure on it.
It sure looks like you were having a fun time sweet Olivia and your new bone toy is wonderful. Happy Birthday once again sweetie girl!
I already got it dirty taking it outside on the deck in the rain yesterday, but it still squeaks.
I love that first photo, what a cutie! Looks like you are having a wonderful 1st Birthday Week sweet Olivia – Happy Birthday!
It was a great week. Birthdays are fun.
Oh our goodness! You are a wonderful birthday girl! Your head on your plate…shifting closer to Madison to get her crumbs…standing on the table!! You made all of us smile this morning. We loved your party. Thanks for having us! Happy Birthday! Your friends Lilly and Chester.
I kind of behaved like a party animal, but I don’t like waiting to eat, and I don’t like leaving anything behind. Have a fun day!
Happy Birthday beautiful girl! Hope you have many more to come.
I plan on lots more birthdays, and my sisters too.
OMD!!! Your mom sure knows how to throw a party! I love the photo of you waiting for your cake cookie – you look so dejected! Also the table crumb gobbler and the squeaky bone! Bailie is a hoot! So fun to see each of your very different personalities.
Mom says we are all the same, but so very different π
Your mom knows how to throw a birthday party. Adorable.

It was fun but next time we need more cookies I think!
oh my what a wonderful party! how sad that all your friends could not celebrate with you… but next year you will have the biggest party of all times!
We hope so! This isolation thing is tough.
Birthday girl gets to do what she wants, even getting up on the table! BOL. We knew you’d have an awesome party, Olivia, and you sure did!!
Actually, I am not supposed to be on the table and Mom let me know that, but since it was my birthday, I kind of got off easy.
What a pawsome pawty and an excellent present!!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
I love my new squeaky bone and my antler is really nice too.
Those cookies looked yummy!
They were super tasty! Even our family food snob, Madison at hers.
Awwww, that was a great party. Many happy returns of the day to you!
Thank you. We had fun.
I am laughing out loud – literally. That first photo is awesome but then the one of you on the table had me howling! Wow, what a birthday!
Olivia being Mom’s home schooling, dog sport experiment has not had to follow as many rules as the rest of us have growing up. Being on the table was something totally new, but she wasn’t scolded much because when searching in nose work, sometimes jumping up on a table will help solve the puzzle. Mom is happy she feels no fear or worry in doing things like that. Good or bad behavior, it was a fun party!
Happy First birthday.Olivia!!
What a pawsome pawrty you had!
Table dancing sure is fun, eh?!
A girl can’t let any part of such tasty birthday cookies go to waste!
Looks like a good birthday!
I had a great time!
Happy Belated First Birthday, it looks like you had a great time.
It was a fun day!
What a wonderfur paw-ty! That first picture is a classic!!! I love your hat too. Very spiffy, girl.
Thank you. Even though I am now one, I am still a bit impatient when it comes to waiting on things.
What a ‘furbulous’ party! And way to clean up the table after. Happy birthday sweet little girl. π¦΄π¦΄π¦΄
Mom was happy I am not afraid to jump up on the table, but she was not happy it was our dining room table.
Happy Birthday, what a fun party.
Thank you. It was a fun day.
