Down Easter Bunny Lane is the Easter book of choice at our house. This will be Olivia’s second Easter, but the first one really doesn’t count, since she was only a few weeks old. I decided as the oldest, that I should introduce her to our favorite Easter book. It is from 1962, so it is very old and we must treat it with careful paws.
As we always do when we read this book, we donned out Easter attire. Olivia opted for the two in one classes and ears. I’m not going to lie, she does get on my nerves now and then with her lack of concentration on the subject at hand.
Since this book is super old and almost impossible to get your paws on now, we wanted to show you a few shots of the inside. When you see how cute it is, you will know why we all love it so. Thankfully Mom didn’t write her name in there.
We sure think the kitty and bunny are cute, don’t you agree. If a cat looked like that, it could deliver our mail to us and we wouldn’t even bark!
Can you imagine those cute kittens actually playing instruments? This book was eons before digital photography and photoshop, so how did they get these pictures?
Here is one with a puppy in the mix. So adorable, Mom wants to just pet and hug the book! It’s a shame Down Easter Bunny Lane doesn’t have new copies printed as I bet it would sell really well!
That much for our favorite Easter book. Olivia is bored and wants to do something else besides reading now. Do any of you have a copy of this cute book?

Oh boy! If we ate this book, Mom would never forgive us!
So cute! <3
Thank you.
Take care of it. Sounds like a treasure!
Mom packs it away after Easter every year. It is a great book.
That looks like a great book for Easter! We still have many of our children’s story books packaged up in storage. I hope someday to get those out to display them when we have a little more room but we have some good ones. Y’all stay healthy and safe. Sending hugs, love, & prayers to you! π
Mom has some of her kids books upstairs in the closet, but this one is extra special.
No, we do not have that darling book. Mom has a very special Christmas book that is also very old. XOXO, Sparkle
I bet she loves it like our mom loves this one.
That really is a sweet book and those illustrations are amazing! Hey, you girls look terrific!
The illustrations are the best part of the book.
That is a really adorable book! Glad you take care of it so you can read it every year.
Mom wants to have it forever because it is so adorable.
I don’t have this book. Looks like a great read for everyone except Olivia. She wants to go play.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. My bet to your peeps. β₯
She still has plenty of puppy in her, and the attention span is rather short.
Mom says for some reason, these pages look awfully familiar to her but the book cover does not. You girls look so cute!
My mom has some other ones called Edith and Mr Bear that are kind of similar.
How Hoppy Easter of you! Thanks for sharing this story! We loved it. Chablis & LB
Thank you. The book is fun to get out every year.
Oh my goodness, you are the cutest Easter pups ever!
Thank you. We like to decorate ourselves.

We can be wild and crazy, but we know when to be mellow too.

Emma showed me the book when I was a puppy, so the tradition goes on.
That is a special and lovely book, hope you get to enjoy it for many years to come!
It’s been around for 58 years, so it will probably be around for many more. We certainly hope so!
I’ve never seen this book before, but that is definitely a treasure!!
It is our Easter treasure every year.
Very cute.
OMD!!! I was thinking about getting my old Easter book out to read via video to my grandbabies. The cover is different but we have THE EXACT SAME BOOK! Mine has those very same stories and pictures. Does yours have the Gingerbread dog and the Calico cat??
Oh wow! How cool is that? Ours has the same things. I bet the grand kids would love the book. The photos are just the most precious.
