The Easter Bunny delivered a record snowstorm to our house this year! It was the snowiest Easter on record for our area, and we were happy to take the snow to play in. At our house, we got about seven inches of the wet April snow. On Saturday, it was in the low sixties, so it was quite a change from that!
Remember we told you back on April Fool’s Day that we are not fools and expected cold and snow. Well, we canines were completely correct! There is lots of good sniffing to be had in the new load of white stuff, and we all did our share of sniffing.
Even though our winter snow has only been gone for maybe two weeks, Olivia hit the new snow as if she hadn’t been in snow for ages! The snow is melting fast even though it is still cold, but we are enjoying it while it lasts.
I really am into sniffing the snow. Sticking my head all the way down into the snow is a lot of fun!
Olivia was trying to find the joy in sticking her head into the snow, but she won’t dive in as deep as I do. Bailie just let us do our thing and pretended she is too mature to do such silly sniffing.
Sniffing on top of the snow can be fun too I guess, but with fresh snow, I prefer to put my head right into it. Bailie will be monitoring things from above the snow.
The family baby adores bounding around in the deep stuff. She never seems to tire of it until she gets comfy in the house and crashes out.
At some point, we have to go back into the house. It is quite the mess as you can see. Mom towels us off, and then we defrost on our beds for a bit while we most likely fall asleep. We love the snow and are so thankful the Easter Bunny brought us a record snowstorm for Easter this year!
We’re happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
Wowzers, thatβs a bunch of spring snow. We just got a dusting.
We are proud to have received a lot, but it is going away very quickly.
Snow is a wonderful gift from the Easter Bunny but the defrosting snowballs can be such a pain.
I really get in a jam with the big ones. I can barely move sometimes, but I still love the snow.
wow that was a surprise… I’m dreaming of a white easter LOL
You can write a new famous song while you are locked in your house for weeks/months…hopefully not years!
That was quite the Easter Bunny bonus snow and I’m glad you all enjoy the romping fun!
We had kind of given up hope of a nice storm, but it happened.
Hooray for one last blast of winter! That Bunny did it right this year.
The bunny brought us the best gift, and we are super happy.
I bet you guys were thrilled over such a late storm.
We sure were, and we got some of the higher totals in the area.
That Easter bun bun brought you a great surprise for you outside baskets! I loves how you bury your nose, face, and head in that white stuff. That will always be a special Easter for your memories. XOXO, Sparkle
It was a totally weird Easter and weekend, but a good one, especially considering all the stuff going on, or not going on right now.
Wow, that’s a lot of snow to enjoy during Easter. I know how the pups love the snow. Adorable shots.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. β₯
We are still enjoying it, but it is on the way out quickly.
Wow, looks like fun!
It has been a lot of fun, but it is already half gone. It’s a nice sendoff from winter.
I swear when I first started reading this that I thought this was an old post! You had SNOW on Easter????? We usually get your weather a few days after you and we have (and had) NO SNOW at all in the forecast. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing on your blog lol. That being said, snow in April in Michigan isn’t out of the norm, we just sure didn’t get any at all!!! Stay safe and healthy!
We can just imagine how happy your whole family was about this! We were really surprised when we saw your photo on FB, that you had gotten that much snow! And look at those snowballs on your legs! We haven’t seen those since we had our golden retrievers. π
I get them the most, Olivia gets some, Bailie not nearly as many. They are a bummer, but we still love the snow.
You guessed it!! you said you wouldn’t be fooled and you weren’t!! Mom and I couldn’t believe our eyes when we read the headline of your post! Snow!! Hooray for you! We know you must have been soo happy. That baby sister of yours is fun to watch!! She was happy happy happy! Have a great day, your friend Lilly
Olivia is a wild child, with no regard for rules. Look out, Olivia is coming through is her motto. We all have been enjoying our snow, but it is melting fast.
We KNEW you would get more snow! We’ve had temperatures in the 30’s and snow clouds here the last two days, but no snow or rain. Mom wants her garden to survive, so she is not too happy with the cold.
LB and Chablis
My mom doesn’t garden, so we can have snow without worry. She buys flowers but not until after Mother’s Day because here it can still get cold and snow until then.
You girls must have been extra good for the Easter Bunny to bring you your favorite thing!!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
It sure beats a little basket with stuff in it. We got an entire yard full of snow! It’s been a lot of fun for us.
Your photos are so lovely! We had snow for Easter too. More predicted this week for Thursday! We never know until the end of May what the weather will be. I love all the fur babies making me smile Have a great week and thank you. Virtual hugs across the miles.
We can get snow into May as well, but in between it is warm. Thank you for stopping by.
Looks like the Easter Bunny is in cahoots with Santa Paws-you got flocked!
Whatever it is called, we are quite pleased with it.
Wow! The Easter Bunny sure knows how to make y’all happy! We usually get an Easter cold snap but never THAT cold! BOL!
We loved it, and then had three days of freezing weather which is unusual in April, but we didn’t mind.
