We did a Mother’s Day photo shoot this year. If you follow us on Facebook and other social media, you saw the final photo we had for Mom. Normally, we get her a plant or something but with the world being upside down we decided to try something different this year. She always tells us she wants a photo shoot of us, so that is what we did. It started with single shots, and us taking turns being the photographer.
Bailie being the oldest went first. She is good a modeling. Unfortunately, we are all super shaggy right now, and our grass is also shaggy. Mom said it doesn’t matter because these are real life photos.
We didn’t let Olivia use the camera much as she is still clumsy. Mom would not be happy if she dropped or wrecked the camera. Bailie and I can do okay if we work at it.
Olivia is super silly and kept looking the wrong direction, but I finally got a half way decent shot of her.
Next up we had me and Olivia together. The first problem was we preferred to wrestle, but Bailie got us to settle down and take a nice photo.
Bailie and Olivia did some nice shots together which is surprising. It was super sunny out, meaning lots of shots had closed or squinting eyes.
Remember Bailie and I are still working on patching up our differences from last year when I flipped out. We decided we could sit together but we would follow social distancing rules. Until December, Bailie was afraid of me, but now the tables have turned and I’m afraid of her. Mom says with a lot of time and patience, the next step will be no fear from either of us. It’s a long journey, but one we all gladly work on with no time pressure.
Finally it was time for the final photo, the one Mom really wanted. Our Mother’s Day photo shoot with a shot of the three of us. We read the instructions for the camera timer. Set up the tripod and got to work. We think it came out pretty nice for being a bunch of hounds.
Mom could even make a collage out of all seven photos if she wants to. She was super happy with our gift of photos, especially with us all in one shot looking at the camera. Hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day too!

Absolutely lovely Mother’s Day photos of each of you! You are all so beautiful. I think I have a spa appointment this week – maybe since our hair, nail, and barbers have opened today. The biggest news is Mom gets to go get her hairs colored and cut TODAY! She is so excited. He hair is pretty bad! XOXO, Sparkle
Our groomer is so booked up, we won’t even call for an appt for another week or two. Being shaggy doesn’t bother us. Human groomers are still closed, so Mom is also shaggy. Hope you and your mom are excited to get spiffed up.
