I found a lot of my happy places on the weekend. Gramma has a hard time when Mom brings multiple dogs because we can get wild. These days, she usually chooses one of us to take along to visit Gramma. I got to go visit on her birthday on Sunday! Sherwood Forest sure has turned into a jungle in the past two weeks since I was out to visit!
It rained a lot over the weekend, but we managed to get a walk in during one of the dry spells. Mom loves this bench made from stone slabs and curly iron. She admires it every time we pass by. Since they had flowers in the plant holders, we decided it was finally time to snap a photo of the bench. If we had a good spot for such a thing, Mom would love one of these.
Back at Gramma’s house, I got to meet her new gnome. He sure is a cute little fellow, don’t you think? Right now he is in the house, but the word on the street is that he will be moving out to Gramma’s sculpture garden soon. I spent a lot of time out on the screen porch. It is squirrel territory, so I was glued to the action for several hours.
A friend told Mom about a fun photo spot not too far from Gramma’s house. Since the sun came out, we decided to stop and check it out. It is an adorable set up, which naturally I wanted to have my photo taken in. Here in Minnesota, “you betcha” is kind of a joke as real Minnesotans often say that. Sota Clothing is the store that has this place on the side of their building. They sell all kinds of MN stuff. Mom wanted to go in, but it was too hot to leave me in the car. She will go another time.
After visiting some of my happy places and finding some new ones, it was time to head home. When I got back, I just crashed. It was a fun day, but pretty exhausting!

I love the bench too, Madison! There is a saying – if you find something you love – get it =- you will find a place in our house/yard for it. GO SHOPPING!
We would not know where to find such a bench, and we could not lift it either, but we really like it.

Last week it was about 4 inches, and since last night we have almost another 3. It is so wet, not fun!
