We love wacky sites on our road trips. We’ve found a lot of fun stuff in our travels. It makes the trip a bit more fun. There’s nothing like finding a buffalo to pose with, right?
Everyone loves to have money, but who could carry around this giant wooden nickel we found along the way? Evidently, the buffalo is into the COVID thing since it is wearing a mask!
Big Ole, the Viking in Alexandria is a definite must see attraction. This guy is huge! We don’t know for sure if what he says about Alexandria is true, but we enjoyed taking a photo with him. Thankfully, he didn’t step on us as we are about the size of ants to him.
We also found the Continental Divide Marker. There isn’t much there anymore, but the tripod marks the point. The Continental Divide forces water to that falls on one side to flow one direction, while water that falls on the other side flows the other direction due to gravity.
We stopped at the worlds largest Prairie Chicken for our friend Luke. He lives on a small hobby farm where they have all kinds of chickens!
If you would like to know the reason behind this giant bird, we took this photo of the plaque.
We’ll finish off our wacky sites with Otto the Otter. There were too many distractions for Mom to leave us to take a photo, so we had some other visitors take a shot for us. Hope you were also amused by some of our finds!

Texas is where the big steaks are. We need to get down there one day!

We thought you would like it! Our mom is super busy too and can barely find time to work on our blog. That work thing really gets in the way of life!
Holy roadside attractions! You managed to find some gigantic ones!
They say, “go big or go home”, and we didn’t want to go home!
What fun! One thing iβve always wished i could do is travel across the country taking no interstates and stopping to see all the fun sights. We (read: husband) are always in such a hurry to get where we are going, we miss out.
Mom is always in a rush to get where we are going, but she is learning to take time to make some fun stops along the way.
