It’s Monday, time to start dreaming about Friday. I feel as though I have a monkey on my back this morning. At least the monkey is blocking my view of Monday! The weekend was tiring with all the fireworks because we didn’t get much sleep. Our weather is so hot and humid, all we want to do is lie around near the A/C vents in our house. We can’t take any real adventures because it is simply too hot outside. On the upside, winter is on the way!
Bailie has taken up hoarding with her Furballz. Evidently, one is just not enough, so she is hanging out with two these days. The orange one is now two years old, and look how small it is. So much loving and squishing has reduced its size.
Olivia is practicing her nose work for her upcoming trial. She wins the long ear contest paws down in our house. Those ears are always flapping around, and sometimes she still trips over them.

Hot is bad enough, but dew points around 70 make it really rough.
The weather is unusually hot here in Charleston this year. I mean we are used to the heat but the humidity makes it a bit unbearable. We have severe rain storms late at night but by 10am, you would never know it. We are hanging out indoors most of the day also. We are afforded shade and a great ocean breeze on our porch in the afternoon so we come out for that. Enjoy your week ladies.
We would hit the beach and stay in the ocean if we could, but for us, early morning walks and runs and then short stints to check on critters in the yard is about it for us.
we dream about friday too…. a tick, being too late to an appointment and a damaged shoe… no good start into a week, but friday is soon!!!
Oh dear! We are taking Friday off, so we only have 4 days this week and are really dreaming for Friday! Hope your week improves.
Just chill so you have an abundance of energy for this weekend. It is hot and humid here too. To add insult to injury we had NASTY LOUD thunderstorms and fireworks all around us this weekend. Poor Puffin was outside last night when someone set of a very loud BOOM! She shook for about 30 minutes. It was very sad. XOXO, Sparkle
It’s sad every night here because they keep setting off the boomers. Olivia was out with Mom to go potty and was shocked by some loud fireworks. She got through it without any scars. Mom jumped around all happy and saying good girl to try to help her think it is a good thing. Now we have the heat by day and booms by night. We are going to buy an island and move to it to avoid all this mess!

We here in St. Louis dream of less heat and HUMIDITY. At least the tomatoes like it. Me – not so much – after a few minutes of “sun baking” on the patio. Chablis
Mom isn’t a fan of summer, and neither are we. A snowstorm or below zero is much nicer. You can always add to be warm, but you can only take off so much to cool down.
Every pup or kit we visit today is talkin’ bout being HOT! Guess it’s going around!
It’s really bad here with the super high humidity.
We are hot here, just it is much more dry. We are also hoping the crazy people are finally going to stop firing those nasty fireworks. The weekend is over!
But now they buy them on sale and use them until they are gone. We found that out last year when we asked people why they are still doing it.

We don’t want to be outside much at all because it is so miserable. They say it will be this way most of the month which is a bummer. We don’t blame your brother, pools are not our thing either, but we love a lake, stream, or ocean. Have a fun day.
I saw a previous photo of a furball, and I got one for our pups. It is Shyla’s favorite. She named him “Elmo”, and he goes almost everywhere with her. Thanks for the inspiration!
It’s funny how we all just love these Furballz. They get used by us all every day. So glad Shyla loves hers too. Elmo is a cute name.

That would be ideal, but we would miss the snow and cold of winter.
Even though we don’t have the humidity, we’re still with you, it’s too hot and miserable to do much of anything except take our walks at 5:45 am.
We do our run at 6, then whoever didn’t run walks right afterwards. Normally we are all buttoned up in the house between 7:30 and 8. Early is the only half way decent time to be out.
We’re just starting to get that super-hot weather now too. It just zaps all your energy! I love summer but it doesn’t have to be quite so hot!
Yeah, they can keep summer. This one is miserable, just heat and humidity every day.
It’s very hot here so we limit our time outdoors. Pierre chased our Furballz in the yard the other day. We love them too.
How fun. Ours are indoor toys only, so Mom always makes us drop them before we go out the door.
