Forest flowers are so beautiful with their fun, bright colors! Last weekend at Gramma’s house I took a walk around the neighborhood and got some photos of various flowers. It turns out that Emma did a similar post almost exactly two years ago, but she found different flowers! Of course, I started with the flowers on Gramma’s doorstep, complete with flag for the 4th of July.
Around out house there are a lot of lilies, but they are almost all yellow. In the forest neighborhood, they are almost all orange. Kind of a funny thing, if you ask me.
You may remember, we are not flower experts by any means so other than the lilies, we don’t know what kind of flowers these all are. These red ones looked really strained from the heat. If they got some water, I bet they would perk right up!
There were lots of these bells around. I don’t think anyone planted them, they just seem to like to grow all over the place.
Being as it was the 4th of July, we loved these bright red flowers. They look a bit like a fireworks explosion without the scary noise!
Olivia would like all the orange forest flowers we saw. No idea what these are, but they are interesting. It seems like there are tons of tiny flowers that are making up the big flower.
Mom and I both liked these adorable small flowers the best. The yellow ones seem to grow near the purple ones. They are also Minnesota Vikings colors, in case we have football around here again some day.
Those were the flowers we found, lots of them, providing lots of color in the otherwise green forest.

We love all of the flowers you found! Mom has never had good luck growing Beebalm (the red one) and she sure wish that she did.
We never see them around, only in Gramma’s forest.
You sure did find a bunch of pretty flowers, good job!
With our tropical weather of late, everything is growing like crazy, including the flowers.
Very pretty!! What a nice walk!
It was hot, but we still had a nice time.
It is so nice you took the time to enjoy and smell the flowers. You do find the beauty in all your walkies. Have a happy weekend! XOXO, Sparkle
We love to walk and discover things, even on walks we do often, things change.
Fun walk
We had fun.
OMDs your Grandma has a forest full of technicolor. We’ve taken several local trails but never do we see such beautiful flowers…
just lots of moss and green leaves. However, yesterday on our walk around Shelley Lake a young lady stopped to warn us she had just seen a Copperhead slither across the trail into the woods. Needless to say we formed a single file walking straight down the middle of the asphalt. A couple of weeks ago we went off trail (photo in my header) but we won’t being doing that any more the December. BOL MOL LOL

Our mom is terrified of any snake She remembers where she has seen them and will never go back. Way to creepy.
beautiful flowers! and Baile!
Beautiful Friday!
Very nice finds! I love the red fireworks one best. That is bee balm and we usually have a lot around our house. I haven’t seen any this year though! Things oddly seem to just come and go around here.
Judging by your tongue hanging out, it still looks hot around there! We are really getting it around here too. It does get old quickly.
Maybe your chickens are the real gardeners as the seem to choose what gets to grow or not. It’s boring having the same flowers all the time anyway, so maybe the bee balm will be back next year and you will appreciate it more.
Baillie, you did a great job showing us all your gorgeous colourful forest flowers. And there is no shame in following in Emma’s paws. A good idea for a blog post remains a good idea second time around!
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
I figure since we found different flowers, it really isn’t like the same post anyway. Thanks, Bertie
Love the flowers and I especially love lilies.
Have a woof woof day and weekend. My best to your siblings and your wonderful mom. β₯
Lilies are so pretty, but we get bored seeing all the yellow ones everywhere. The orange is a nice change.
Lots of very beautimous color you found Bailie! Forest flowers really are gorgeous!!
OH…and we sure hope there is football this year or Mama is going to be VERY grumpy!
We are missing sports and hope for some football at least. Our family loves bright colors, they help brighten up life and moods.
Very beautiful flowers, sweetieπΈDouble PawkissesπΎπ½π
Thank you.
There all very pretty.
Thank you so much for sharing those!
You’re welcome.
I have no idea what most flowers are except the mainstream ones. The wildflowers in the woods are so pretty but I don’t know their names. I love the red ones too.
Mom says the names don’t matter to her, she just enjoys seeing them.
