The Paul Bunyan State Trail is just maybe a mile or so from the hotel we stayed at. We met up with a friend and decided to head over and go for a nice walk together. As always these days, it was hot in the sun, but some parts of the trail were shady.
From the looks of all these signs we realized there seem to be a lot of trail rules! There were a lot of mosquitoes and flies which were biting Mom, and Olivia was attempting to catch them with her mouth when Mom was taking this photo. After being in the car all day, we were in a bit of a silly mode.
The four of us stopped to take a group photo. Hart is so nice. She posed on the bench with us, but her brother Quinn is pretty wild, so his Mom had him sit on the ground. The photo came out pretty good we think. It’s always fun to walk with friends! Mom and her friend can chit chat, and we dogs can sniff stuff together and pee on stuff together too! Quinn and Hart have been to our house before, and we see each other at trials now and then too, but walking was the best fun.
We were all super happy to walk part of the Paul Bunyan State Trail. Our friend took a photo of the three of us. Because we were all being silly, and Olivia is just naturally a nut, we got this photo. I am more rule following and was doing my best to pose nice, but Olivia had to hug Mom, and put her giant paw over my head. Even thought it isn’t the photo we had in mind, we love it! The walk wasn’t super long because it was too warm, but we had a great time!

Recently the bugs have gotten really bad. Mom can’t even be out in the yard much because they eat her alive.

That is nice that you were able to meet friends on the trail. No dogs or biking? How do they except you to have any fun? BOL!
In the winter. The cross country skiers get really mad if dogs are on their groomed trails.
