Bailie and I earned our BCAT Titles in Amana, Iowa last weekend. We went down there for a weekend of Barn Hunt and FastCAT. It was a lot of fun, and by the time we got home, we were totally exhausted! I think we are super lucky pups to get to travel and do such fun dog sports with our mom, definitely something to be thankful for.
We were doing both sports each day, so Mom had to decide who did what first. Since FastCAT is tiring, and I had Barn Hunt first, Olivia got her first FastCAT run in Saturday morning a couple hours before I did. She only needed about four points, so she got the first BCAT title in the family. BCAT is one hundred fifty points. She averages thirty points per run and earned her title on her sixth run.
After my first Barn Hunt run, Mom took me for my FastCAT run. I needed twenty seven points for my title which is a lot for me. Well, guess what? I did it with about one point to spare! Mom and I were both super happy for me!
As for Barn Hunt, I managed to squeeze out one more Q. I still need seven to earn my RAT Champion Title. We have time, and I really did well and we had so much fun. Fun is what matters anyway. Olivia really bombed out, but she is young and at a high level, so it is to be expected. She will practice and try again in a few weeks.
The biggest goal we had besides fun for the weekend was to both earn our BCAT Titles, and we did just that! Both of us love the sport and do pretty well. I run about fifteen mph and Olivia around nineteen mph on the hundred yard track. Next up will be DCAT Titles, but that will take time. We each need five hundred points for that title. This was only our second trial weekend ever doing FastCAT, which makes having titles even more special!
PS: Please excuse our gray furs. Iowa is dry, flat and windy and we were really dirty after spending three days out in the elements, but it is reality, so we don’t mind showing some dirt in our photo!

oh congrats… now you are technically cats too? that’s fine, they are gods so you won something special ;O)
Heavens NO! We never want to be felines, we live with them and that is already too much. CAT is for coursing ability test π
Congratulations! You girls are awesome! It looks like you had a super time!! Hooray! It is so great to take a moment to think about gratitude isn’t it? I am so grateful for my mom too. I love being with her as much as possible. Right now I am lying on the floor of her office while I tell her what to type. She’s the most awesome mom ever. (Hey! I didn’t say that!! hahaha). have a good day, your friend Lilly
Hi Lilly, Moms are the very best thing in the world. As long was she is with us, we are happy, but when we can do our sports together, that is even more special. Have a fun day.

We have three weeks of competitions coming up, even Bailie is making a go at it all three. We will see if she is into it or not. It’s been a long break for her, but it’s time to get back to business.
Congrats! Well done.
