It’s all fun and games between hounds in our backyard. Usually Olivia pretty much hound handles me because I’m a lot smaller than she is, but even when I get the upper paw, we are still besties at the end of our games.
Olivia’s favorite way to initiate play is with her giant bear paws. She likes to push me around, or wrap herself around me. Luckily, those giant paws are super soft.
Some days, Olivia will let me be the winner of our game and this was one of those days. I made my move, standing up on my back feet to try to get at my sister.
Next thing I know I have Olivia pinned under me. How in the world did I manage to take down the wild giant?
Before Olivia could get back up, I smacked her down with my dainty little paw. I may be small, but I am solid muscle, so don’t underestimate me!
After I showed Olivia who is the real boss, we got back to the fun and games with a bit of chase and wrestle.
Usually it is my sisters who have the crazy eyes in the family, but I can have them on occasion too. This cool weather brings out the crazy in all of us I guess. It is a good thing, though.
In the end, the fun and games between hounds come to an end, and we are back to loving each other as always. Big Olivia adores hugging – both humans and me. I don’t mind, because she is real sweet to me most of the time. We are excited to have some leaves to play in soon. Fall is a great season!

Such a fun game, to wrestle with your sister. Coda, my daughter’s dog, loves to do the same when she gets to visit Diamond or Lulu. Hope you get to play a lot this weekend!
Some dogs love to play with balls or stuff like that, but we love chase and wrestle. It is the best game in our minds.

We love watching you two play!! I feel your struggle with a bigger little sister Madison…Sunny is taller than me and Mama says, once she fills out, she will most likely be bigger than me too. PLUS she is always patting me on the head with her big paws to initiate play too!! But even with all that, little sisters sure are fun to play with, aren’t they?
I love my huge little sister. She can be annoying now and then, but most of the time I wouldn’t trade her for anything.
