I love my new NW1 Title! On Sunday I was in a local nose work trial and I finally earned my NW1! My sisters better look out because now I’m only one title away from being at the same level they are. I’m already catching up to them in AKC Scent Work, and I mean business when it comes to sniffing!
Sunday was a fitting day for my, Ethos Loving The Northland to title because the weather never made it above freezing, and it snowed all day long! Mom was really cold, but I was a happy camper. My only complaint was too much time between searches and not enough searching for my liking. As I get to higher levels I will get to sniff more, yay!
How about some facts from my big day? I had four hides to find all day, one in each element – exteriors, containers, interiors, and vehicles. My total search time for the four hides was two minutes and four seconds. My interior search was way too long because I got scared and didn’t want to go in the room which cost me a lot of time. I recomposed myself by doing a couple laps around the room and then got to work.
This nose got a pronounced from the judge in containers. Pronounced is given to teams a judge thinks shows exceptional handling/teamwork. Containers are tough for many teams, so getting one there is special. On a side note, I got a pronounced in vehicles in my September trial. That is two for me in my lifetime. Emma had one, and Madison also has one, so I feel pretty proud of myself already having two.
I didn’t get any time placements this trial, but our focus is not on time but rather on passing and doing well. Even though we didn’t get placement ribbons, out of forty five dogs, and twenty three titles, I ranked in at number twelve. Many dogs are older than I am and they have more experience under their furs, so I’m very happy with number twelve. My run order number was eight. Mom said from the start, eight means great. I didn’t disappoint. I’m super excited to continue on in nose work now that I have my new NW1 Title. Hopefully next year will be even more pawsome!
My GBGV Life is happy, so weβre joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
congrats!!! we know that you are simply da best!!!
Mom tells me I am, but some dogs are still faster than I am.
Happy Tuesday congrats for your new NW1 Title…You look quite content there on the couch daydreaming too

I’m dreaming of catching up to and passing my sisters in our sniffing sports next year. If they don’t hurry up, it will happen.
You doing great!
Thank you.
A super big congratulations from all of us, we’re very proud of you and we know your Mom is too!
Thank you. Mom says I’m her best sports buddy because we both love it so much and we are a great team.
You are one impressive puppy!!! great work!
Thank you. I love my sports and can’t wait to do more.
Olivia, I pronounce you a super sniffer! XOXO, Sparkle
Mom still calls me her sniffalufagus, whatever that is. I love to sniff for stuff.
Congratulations!!!! Love the nose photo!
That is a very valuable asset of mine π
Well done. I know your siblings and your mom is so proud of you. We are too.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to all your siblings and my best to your mom. β₯
Mom is proud, my sisters don’t really understand me since they don’t take sports as seriously as I do.
Congratulations, Olivia! You are one smart girl!
Thank you. I just love to hunt for things with my nose and my nose is good.
Way to go baby girl!!! Ypu shows those older sisters what you are made of! Love the photo of you peeking around the front seat
Thank you. I will catch up to and pass my sisters soon if they don’t get to work and try harder.
Congratulations! It is fun to put your nose to work.
I was made for it and it shows. It is so much fun.
Congrats on doing so well Olivia!!! You definitely got the sniffiest sniffer in the family!!
I think I do, but we will see who ends up on top in a year or two. I’m betting on me π
Many cheers for you for your accomplishment, doggy pal. Bessie the Basset at my house has a big sniffer, but she hasn’t been in any competitions. She asks if you ever have to use your sniffer to locate hidden jars of peanut butter. Head pets.
No, we use our noses for our sports and to track critters in our yard and on walks. Of course, we do smell food if it is out.
Well done! Congrats on the new title.
Thank you. I’m pretty excited.
Congratulations, Olivia! You are an overachiever for sure, your sisters are going to have to stay on their toes!
I have a feeling I will pass them both up next year unless they suddenly have a miracle!
Good job! Hooray!
Thank you.
I swear you get cuter in every photograph. You have the best face!!!!
Thank you. I think I’m cute and everyone should love me, but some people actually ignore me and that makes me nuts!
