We are dashing through the snow at our house and having so much fun! The ten inches we had a couple weeks ago was super fun, but it was real heavy. This new snow is only a few inches deep and it is much lighter too.
Because it isn’t so deep and heavy, we can do a lot more racing around. All three of us have been ripping around at high speed just for fun.
Olivia found the glam in the snow. I guess Bailie did as well. Sometimes the sun hits fresh snow just right and it sparkles like glitter.
Even Bailie got up enough speed to have her ears fly up. She looks like a plane cleared for takeoff.
My short legs can do a lot more in this snow than in real deep stuff, although it is sticking to my furs, creating drag. Never the less, I can still fly. Can you tell I’m on a mission?
Olivia needs to tame down her set of long floppys. They are always flying straight up in the air, making for silly photos of her dashing through the snow.
Maybe because she is older than me and Olivia, Bailie doesn’t always run at high speed. She often enjoys trotting along in the snow. We love how the snow is being kicked up as she moves along.
Could it be that Olivia has been watching too much TV during the pandemic? She calls this photo of herself, “Got Snow”, a take on “Got Milk”.
You should know by now that Olivia seems to get the crazy eyes a lot, right? Well, Bailie can also do some crazy eyes as seen in the photo above. She looks pretty funny! Maybe it was caused by her seeing her own shadow on top of the snow?
And, back to me dashing through the snow with really nowhere to go. It’s just fun to race around and around. I do look like I am running with a purpose. We all had some nice afternoon naps after all the snow fun in the morning.
How about one last shot of silly Olivia, the craziest family snow dog? She appears to be showing off her huge front paws. Sadly, this snow will be pretty much gone by the weekend, but hopefully we will have snow sticking around for the rest of the winter soon.
My GBGV Life is joining Brianβs Home Blog in the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Wow! The snow. The ears! The romping! Itβs all so wonderful! Great photos. It looks like you had some super fun!
We just love to race around in the snow. Early snow is the best because it is still new. Later in the winter we figure it is always there, so why rush to play. Happy Thursday.
Y’all sure do have fun racing and romping in the snow and your flying ears are amazing! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We’re thankful for you guys, your hop, and all the snow!
Y’all sure do have a lot of fun in the snow. Your mom must like it, too. I like to look at all the pretty white landscape in photos or from the window inside my home but to get out in for any length of time I think I’d pass on that idea. lol Have fun dashing through the snow!
We dogs love it and so does Mom. Winter is our favorite season, Mom’s too. We are outside so much. Summer is not for any of us with the heat and humidity, we don’t go out much.
oooh your ears!! and the snow sparkled like diamonds… how beautiful!
Snow diamonds are a hounds best friend, right?
What flying, funny, furnishings on those fem fatal es! The ears are what give Olivia the best scenting – they draw in scents from farther away because of their length.
Amazingly, she air scents most of the time until she gets close to what she is looking for, then her nose goes down. She is definitely equipped for sniffing.
LOVE the photos – the flying ears make me laugh! Thanks for brightening my morning!
You are very welcome. Thank you for checking out our snow fun. It’s snowing again today, so we are hoping it lasts a bit longer now.
I am humming Jingle Bellsl! You know, “dashing through the snow in a one horse open sleigh…!” You three look like you are laughing all the way. Oh what fun! XOXO, Sparkle
That is what we had the title named after, but since it is too early for Christmas, we only used the one phrase. Now all our friends have jingle bells in their ears today.
Look at those ears fly! You are running so fast and look so darn cute!
Thank you. I can run at 21 mph according to my times in FastCAT, so I’m pretty speedy.
I know you love the snow. What great shots and I know your mom enjoys seeing you having a great time. I’m thinking she might have more fun than you are.
Have a fabulous day. My best to your mom. β₯
She loves the snow just like we do, and we give her an excuse to go out and play in it as an adult.
Snow is so much fun and I am so jealous! Mom says that the only thing that I’ll be dashing through is lots of wet leaves!
We dashed through some of those, but snow is a real nice change. Hopefully you will get some eventually.
What wonderful pictures!!!!!!!
We are thankful for the smiles we have after seeing your happy snowy faces!!!
You all need a load of snow to race around in. I bet Sunny would love it!
Oh, such fun! You all look wonderful and crazy and silly and like you are having the best time ever. May you have plenty of snow this winter and a whole lot of fun with it.
We have our paws all crossed for a good winter this year.
It feels like it could snow here today, but we’re only getting rain as far as we know. Pretty soon you girls will have snow that stays, we’re sure!
We hope so. The snow is so nice now, but it will rain on the weekend, so there it goes.
