Hanging our Christmas stockings is always a problem at our house. We love our stockings, but we needed a better way to hang them for the holidays. By accident, Mom came across this customizable hanger for the mantle from Cades and Birch. She decided to buy one and boy are we glad she did. They also made our leash holder and the memory boxes for Emma and Katie.
Let’s face it, dogs don’t want to spend the holidays holding up their own Christmas stockings! Mom didn’t want to drill holes for hooks into the mantle, and we have tried Command Strips, but they ripped the finish off the mantle. What could we do?
While shopping online a couple weeks ago, Mom saw this stocking holder. You can choose the text you would like to have engraved, the number of hooks, and the color of stain/wood. Most of the examples had the family name, but we liked “Merry Christmas To All” as our wording. Odd numbers usually look better, so we ordered five hooks.
This holder is super sturdy and easy to use. Simply set it on the surface where you would like to hang your Christmas stockings, hang the stockings and you are done. Since the mantle is up high, we put it on the coffee table to demonstrate how it looks.
Finally, here it is on our actual mantle, looking good I think. It’s a relief not having to worry about holding our stockings! They look great, and we think the holder looks super nice too!

No, kitties don’t have stockings. I don’t think they care much about gifts like we dogs do.
Bailie, you make the PERFECT elf! LOVE those dark shades! We have the same problem with # of dogs in our city. THREE! But since there is just one of me right now, we are getting ready for me to have a sister! She will be full grown, but that’s fine with Mom and Dad. Hopefully we will get her after Christmas. I have never had a sister since I was a wee pup. I think it could be exciting.
