This year, Mom brought home some huge dog Advent calendars for us! We’ve had an Advent calendar every year for several years now, but these are a whole different league! Seriously, they are so big, I can’t even sit with it standing up in front of me.Bailie is the tallest of us girls and she can manage to hold one upright in front of her, but just barely. It’s no shock to read about all the fantastic treats hiding behind those doors. There is plenty of space for a real feast!
Even Olivia is almost too small to handle one! Every year we have so much fun looking forward to opening another door. Mom tries to do it at the same time each day, so we hang out and wait for it to happen.
Bailie is really into nose work lately, since she got a new instructor. It’s no surprise she is trying to sniff out which treats are behind which doors! We are placing our money on door number twelve having something super yummy!
Mom found these giants at Sam’s Club a few weeks ago. She hasn’t seen them there since that day. I bet they sold out super fast. They are made in Germany and have thirty five healthy treats total behind the doors. We don’t know what is behind each door, but there is chicken jerky, duck jerky, chicken hamburgers, duck hamburgers, turkey burgers, turkey stars and one, yes, one, eight inch bully stick! Yum!
Olivia got to be first to open door number one with the penguin on Tuesday. We have to take turns, it is Mom’s rule.
The door is opening and we can see it is a piece of jerky, will it be chicken or duck? Olivia is having trouble being patient, but is doing a good job for a youngster.
Look at that treasure! The jerky piece is chicken and is several inches long and a couple wide at the top part. Normally our Advent calendars have small treats, but these huge dog Advent calendars Mom found this year are stocked with treats for real dogs! We are super thankful to have these special Advent calendars this year.
