According to Olivia, there is a fine art to stealing a good twig in the snow. We were our racing around the yard, enjoying the cold air and fresh snow. My photo looks like my summer FastCAT photos only with snow!
Olivia was being more careful. As she was moving along, she was singing the song, “put one paw in front of the other, and soon you’ll be running away with your sister’s twig.” Something tells me those are not the original words from Sesame Street, but they fit Olivia.
I found a twig by one of our big birch trees. Olivia is crazy for those twigs. She saw me with the twig and put herself into fast forward, bounding her long self over to me.
Not knowing how to get the twig away from me, she stood back, showing little interest while I investigated my find.
The longer I was messing around with the twig, the more irritated Olivia became. She was trying to figure out how she would get it away from me. To frustrate her, I started to play around with it a little bit. See her face? She can’t believe it as usually I don’t give one hoot about a twig.
Olivia decided to slowly approach me with the idea of maybe splitting the twig. She has that big paw out, and is starting to make her move to steal.
Whoops, there goes my twig! Just like that, in the blink of an eye, she steals my twig and heads off with it! I’m stunned.
Next thing I know, there she is parading around the yard in front of me with the stolen item. I have to admit, she is quite talented when it comes to stealing a good twig. In the end, the joke was on her as Mom took it away. Olivia likes to chew and eat twigs, but that is not allowed as it is dangerous. No matter, we are happy pups out in our nice snowy yard!
My GBGV Life is happy, so weβre joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
I loved this post. Great story and fabulous pictures.
Thank you. Sometimes a simple tale is the best tale.
WOW at the snow fun girls, you sure were having a big time!
We have been enjoying it and are hoping for more later today.
Wonderful photos and storytelling!
Thank you. We love fun stories.
You all have such fun in the snow. This post made me smile. I’m sure it made your mom smile too.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to all the pups and my best to your mom. β₯
Mom says we keep her smiling all day long, and sometimes even in the night when she wakes up to find us there with her.
Olivia is a twig lifter! You should have called the tree police and her arrested! XOXO, Sparkle
She likes to steal so many things, the cops would lock her up forever! I forgive her, it was fun to tease her for a while, though.
amazing series. specially that taking photos of snow is not an easy task.
Mom likes taking snow photos as long as it isn’t really bright sunshine. Glad you enjoyed our tale.
What fun you girls are having in your beautiful snow. I am so jealous!
We are still sad all your snow melted.
What a great romp in the snow! Our hairy slobbery sister Cinnamon enjoyed everything! She says she wishes she had a sisfur or brothfur to play in the snow with! (she does play with her friend Baby Girl on walks though).

That’s great she has a friend to go on walks with. We like to do that sometimes too.
What a great game of stick in the snow!!
That has a nice ring to it, stick in the snow!
Little sisters – what can you do?? In the end, your Mom had all the control anyway! π
She too has to be sneaky because Olivia won’t give up a twig just because she is asked to.
Olivia turned pro at twig stealing very young indeed!
She is a very good thief, but we love her anyway.
Weβve heard little sisters can be a pawful! She sure looks proud after the theft.
Olivia is a very big pawful, but a good one too.
wonderful story with amazing photos!
Thank you. We like a good story.
What beautiful photos and the romping in the snow. Ah…. what a joyful post. Makes me smile and I love keeping my attitude in a good place. Smiles are so much better than being negative. I sure appreciate you stopping by to visit. Hoping your week is wonderful too. Thanks for sharing. HUGS
We like to be a fun and positive place for people to come. It has always been our thing, but this year we feel it is even more important. No one needs extra negativity, the world has more than enough all the time.
Levi is almost 14 weeks old and he has sure mastered that art! We are forever taking twigs AWAY from him! BOL! He keeps trying to eat them!
