Have you met my corn toy? I don’t think I have ever introduced my corn before, so today is the day. Mom actually bought it for Bailie before I even lived here. She bought a bunch of stuffed veggies for her. I enjoy the salad, but the corn is my favorite. I started to love it right after I moved in, and haven’t ever stopped.
Unfortunately, I have given him a bit too much love in the past eighteen months. He is quite dirty, has a broken squeaker, and a tear in his backside. Mom has forced him into the washing machine numerous times but he doesn’t come clean anymore. I love him no matter what shape he is in. Isn’t he adorable with the little tuft of green hair on his head?
I enjoy running around the house with him in my mouth, and I also like to toss him in the air. If I see the camera, I stop and refuse to hold him. It’s fun to defy the photographer.
One of my favorite things to do with him is to shake him. He is one tough corn! I can’t seem to make him dizzy or anything no matter how much I shake him.
In the above photo, I’m about to toss him into the air. I always try to turn around so Mom can’t get a shot of my face abusing my corn toy. No one better ever try to take him away from me for corn toy abuse!
Well, now you can say that you certainly have met my wonderful corn toy. He sure is fun, and I really hope he doesn’t end up getting tossed out by my mom because I would miss him. Today I’m thankful for my old, dirty, falling apart corn.
My GBGV Life is joining Brianโs Home Blog in the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
it’s super cute and we would love it to pieces ;O)
Oh no, you boys can’t have my corn!
That corn toy looks super nice and I can see why you love it so much. I think our Simon would like it too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
It’s fairly small, and very lightweight. Bummer the squeaker died.
You can buy new squeakers on Amazon and a bunch of other places. slice him open a little again and insert the squeaker and sew the corn ( sow the corn???) – good as new except for the dirty
Mom has some extra squeakers but we usually just let the toys be silent after their squeakers die. Biting a dead squeaker makes its own kind of noise too.
Heโs adorable
Thank you. I always have him around even when I’m not playing with him.
Oh, Olivia, how sweet you love your corn toy so very much! The only veggie I have is a carrot. Do you steal all the toys the way Puffin does? After all you are both the family babies. XOXO, Sparkle
Because of me, my sisters still play quite a bit with toys, but I’m the biggest toy hound around. Stop by our Facebook page this afternoon to see what I mean ๐
This post made me smile. Our Angel Little Bit had a favorite toy and we made sure we had backups in case she tore it up. She did quite often too.
Have a woof woof Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all your siblings and a hug to the mom. โฅ
Mom doesn’t have a backup for my corn. She says it wouldn’t be the same, kind of like cloning a pet or human, same look but different thing really. I will love him as long as he is around.
What a great little toy – enjoy sweetie!
Thank you. I have him around a lot.
That is such a wonderful toy you have – and a wonderful love for it!
Corn is simple, but I enjoy carrying him around and helping him fly sometimes.
That one cute corn toy, Olivia. Angel Maggie loved her Mr Carrot toy.
I may have to go shopping and find myself a carrot, but I still have the lettuce too. Corn is the best of all.
Now that is one tough toy! Cinnamon had a stuffed Lamb (it was a before dogs toy) that she loved to bits. It finally gave up the ghost after about 3 years of “loving”. Olivia, we hope your corn keeps together for a long, long time! We really LOVED the photos of you and your corn!
Thank you. Corn is in rough shape, but Mom may be able to surgically repair him on the backside so he lives longer.
Awww you are definitely a cutie! And I am not being corny!
LOL! You are funny.
That is pretty Corny
Corny, but my cutie and a fun toy too.
sorry I havnยดt.
That is so cute! Mom threw a bunch of the toys that Pierre killed away after Christmas since we got new toys for my birthday and Christmas.
New toys are great, but we still love some of these old ones more. Mom doesn’t have the heart to toss them until the stuffing starts coming out.
Lots of smiles for this one! Such a cute subject and I love the composition and clarity of your photos!
Thank you. We always have fun with our photos and stories.
That looks like a fun toy.
My corn is awesome!
That’s a cute toy! Luke would love one of those. His favorite toys are the dirty and torn apart ones too!
Old, dirty and broken are the best!
The best toys, of course, are the ones that are loved into being real.
The most over loved ones of all!
I love how our pets will sometimes connect with one specific toy. For our girl Daviana, it’s her flamingo that we affectionately call ‘Mingo’. Like your corn, Mingo is definitely looking a little worse for the wear over the years… It doesn’t exactly come clean any longer and it has a couple holes that have developed along the way. However, Dav girl still brings it to bed every night.
Yep, we each have our favorites and they get loved to death.
